This place is a hidden gem! Nearly all locally sourced ingredients with creative cuisine. The entire staff is as warm and inviting as the food. Weekly specials for cocktails, as well as entrees and desserts. Best quality, well-proportioned ribeye in town (for an insanely reasonable ticket.

We could not recommend Sage Rabbit more highly. My husband and I were visiting Lexington for just an evening during a longer road trip. We were traveling with our dog, so my husband picked The Sage Rabbit for dinner since they had an outdoor patio. Staff went above and beyond to make us and our dog comfortable, even giving him a bowl of water and treats! The patio was perfect for a beautiful evening of outdoor dining. We mentioned to the server that we were excited to have a relaxing evening after a long day of driving, and she read our pace perfectly! We never felt rushed, and also never ignored. Staff made sure we always had water, and anything else we needed during our dinner. They were attentive and kind. At the end of our dinner the server even gave us a recommendation for another place to check-out, which was much appreciated! We had the bread and goat cheese as a starter. My husband had the Ribeye, and I had the Crab Cakes. We recommend everything. My husband commented that the Ribeye was one of the best steaks he has ever had. The crab cakes had great flavor, and the macaroni and cheese that came with them was absolutely delicious. We also tried a variety of cocktails, with the highlight being their Lavender Espresso Martini.

Had a great dinner at The Sage Rabbit recently! I was able to make a reservation for 7 on a weeknight with no issue. I was hoping to be able to sit on the patio but they had our table set up indoor- no big deal. I will say that the inside could use a bit of a "refresh"- the chairs and benches seem more than a bit worn. Our waitress was great and was able to make recommendations and answer any questions we had. There were so many tasty sounding dishes on the menu and I was interested in the veggie burger but decided to try the "Paris in Saigon" bowl and it was good but a bit soupier than I had imagined it would be- still delicious! The portions aren't large so keep that in mind if you're super hungry. Will be back to try the veggie burger & sit on the patio!

I really loved the food! Don't be discouraged by how the inside looks; the food is amazing! They even have chicken of the woods mushrooms, which really took my by surprise. The only issue I had was that everything was very savory and I felt like I needed a lemon or a pickle halfway through my meal. Really really good flavors though. Can't wait to go back!

We had a wonderful time there tonight. The food and the service were both perfect. The only thing I regret was that I hadn't found this lovely place before.

Perfect summer night dinner spot. We sat outside and enjoyed the comfortable weather. The drinks were good. We tried 4 of them. We gave our server 2 options for each of us and let her choose our entree. The po boy was very good and he got a seasonal pasta dish that was very simpl ingredients but delicious! Will go back again!

I visited with my spouse for the first time tonight. Everything was great!The atmosphere inside was laid back but still elegant. Nothing pretentious. Just nice, with dark blue tablecloths and good music in the background.We started with cocktails. My spouse had the raspberry mojito and I had a negroni. Both were excellent. We shared a starter of panzanella (toasty seasoned bread cubes with roasted tomatoes & red onion with shaved asiago). Delicious and appetizing.For entrees: my spouse had pasta with chicken (homemade pasta with chunks of flavorful chicken and fresh tomatoes); she said it was great. I had pan roasted redfish over vegetables: the fish was cooked perfectly with a crispy exterior, seasoning correct, tasty sauteed fresh vegetables. Very nice.We finished with the two special desserts: zeppole with mocha gelato (killer!) and warm strawberry crisp with cream (quite good).Service was attentive. Pricing typical (about $100 before tip). We'll be back.

We loved the Sage Rabbit patio dining experience! It's a tiny spot with lots of character! Definitely a pet-friendly vibe! They treated our pup like their pet, offering water, treats and lots of love.For the humans: food was pretty yummy! We loved the goat cheese starter... only wished we had ordered two because we didn't want to share! Haha I had the risotto special with mushrooms and chicken, it was kinda bland and earthy. My adult daughter had the dreamy Mac with chicken and shrimp, and it was delicious! We shared the Zeppole special dessert. Not what we had imagined, but very good nonetheless. It reminds me of French toast!The coffee was freshly made each time and come in regular or decaf!We will definitely be back if we are I. Lexington!

My Family and I were in town in March and all visited the Sage Rabbit for an afternoon event. John and his staff were great and their service was spot on. Their burger, noodle salad and homemade tortellini were fantastic and each of us loved our meal and time at his restaurant. I would highly recommend visiting, saying hello to the Team and enjoying one heck of a meal.
