The Rickhouse Restaurant & Lounge

The Rickhouse Restaurant has really good food, a cool rickhouse vibe for ambiance, and good service. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get a seat quickly. When you walk in the restaurant, there are barrels the wall like you are in a rickhouse. The walls and doorways are cool with brick and arches. The lighting is low, so it's a nice ambiance. The food was really good. - The Bruschetta was different, but in a good way. It had really good flavor. For me it was an 8/10.- The Six Cheese Ravioli with Italian Sausage was really good. The ravioli had good texture, the sauce was good, and the Italian sausage added a nice flavor. I give it an 9/10.- The Rickhouse Classic Burger was good (7/10), and the Eleven Cheese Macaroni was really good (9/10).If we visit Bardstown again, we would gladly eat here again.

Tony met us outside when our taxi delivered us. Even though they weren't booked up ,(he assured us he would find a table for us). He was very attentive and such a delightful personality. Our meals were cooked to perfection. ( Just too much food). Beautiful space. I'd give 10 stars.

Avoid * Avoid * Avoid I rarely give "horrendous" as a review because everyone has an off night but by the looks of it, it's a repetitive theme. From the bad ridiculous long after reservation, to the poor bar tender attitude & service to the insane wait to get our food to the lackluster taste of everything & on & on... This is the type of place that needs a complete re-set & someone with a respectable reputation to fix everything under the roof. Again, you do you but IMO, avoid.

We have loved this place for many years. It isn't as good as it was before Covid but still delicious . Love the pork chop . It's the best I have eaten anywhere

I had been eyeing this place for years! I decided that my birthday was enough of a special occasion to finally try it out. We made a reservation and got a lovely table. Our waiter was JC and he took exceptionally good care of us. We started out with some cocktails, both delicious. We then got the creamy wild mushroom ravioli as an appetizer. We both really wanted to try it, and we both know that we never leave a restaurant full after getting ravioli for an entree, so we indulged in it as an appetizer. This was the best choice all night, we really loved it. For my entree, I got a ribeye with the eleven cheese macaroni and the bourbon mushrooms on the side. My husband got the black and blue burger. The burger was the best of the entrees, with the steak being good too. The macaroni was alright, and the mushrooms (that we were very excited for) were a little disappointing. I am not sure that the bourbon sauce is a good pair. We were dreaming of that ravioli the whole dinner. The atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome, very intimate and cozy. And the staff was wonderfully friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back!

Came here for dinner after a day of touring the distilleries in Bardstown Kentucky. This place was recommended by the cab driver for great steaks and wine. We arrived before the dinner rush which was "just in time". I had the 14oz New York, and my wife had the 10oz New York strip. The staff was friendly, but our server kinda ignored us for other tables. Unknown why, but it felt that way. The wine list was pretty good. We chose the old vine zinfandel to go with our steaks and it was a great pairing. Sides included the baked potato and the Mac n cheese. The kitchen mixed up our order. It looked like the 14oz and the 10oz were the same size. Not a good start. My well do e steak was not well done, it was medium at best. Did they fix it? Yes. But the the steaks were the same size. The restaurant has a great aesthetic for a bourbon town. A mix of modern and historic come together. If you have a small group, this is a good place. If you have a large group, I'd skip. Give it a try, but I make no promises that you'll be blown away by the food or service. You'll pay like it does, but it falls short in my book. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't, "oh my God, I'm coming back" good. Don't order the same steak in two different sizes. My experience is they'll be the same.

this place would have got a 5 star but our waitress was not in a good mood and was not pleasant at all to us. I understand, they were busy because of the KBF going on that weekend but, you had to know this. the food and drinks were good though. its nice that its right in the middle of the KBF too so not a far walk after your tastings.

Amazing food、impeccable service、and incredible location. Definitely recommend. A must do in Bardstown.

The ambiance is very nice. It is classy with a bar to hang out in while you wait. Our service was spectacular. The only loss of star was for the quality of food... especially for the price. Standards are obviously higher when paying more... the main meat.dishes were good, but slather sides left a lot to be desired. The veggies were soggy and the potatoes were hard and dry. Despite that, I'd return again.

7:15 reservation- we arrived early. Even though there were tables available, we didn't get seated until after asking the hostess twice. We were seated at 7:30. At close to 9 pm we still had no food at which time I spoke to a manager. (We had guests who had a 3 hour drive home.) There was no apology for the 90 minute wait for dinner. A huge disappointment.
