The Red Pepper Deli, Cafe & Catering

We were excited when we traveled home through Madison so we could stop at a favorite,The Red Pepper. We both decided to get soup and sandwich. I got the Sante Fe with Chicken Taco soup. My wife got the Turkey Mayo and the Chicken Taco Soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. You cannot go wrong ordering anything on the menu.

So good!!! We weren't planning on coming here but saw it driving by and decided to stop. We ordered and got our food within 5 minutes. There was a $2 up charge for the broccoli salad, would not recommend.We went Friday at one o'clock and got the last table! Great place!

Cute building and interior. Lots of different types of sandwiches such as hoagies, paninis and wraps. Salads/pastas salads are homemade and delicious. The bow tie pasta is definitely above average. The staff is always nice and service is quick. Nice stop on the way to Clifty Falls for a picnic or a great place to dine in.

Spent a weekend in Madison while teaching an art class. Came here for lunch. Had a turkey/cheese on croissant. Generous portions of turkey. Good turkey/cheese ratio. Croissant was fresh & flaky. Friendly service & food came out quickly-but not too quick.

Service was great; very friendly and prompt. The sandwich menu is extensive; there is something for everyone and many very interesting choices. All sandwiches come with chips, and you can get Ms. Vick's for 1$ more.My son got the artisan grilled cheese and loved it! I got the Reuben which was very tangy due to the addition of pickles to the sauerkraut. I liked it, but it was a lot of one flavor over the others. My boyfriend got the Spicy Wreck, which was spicy indeed...maybe too spicy!We didn't try any of the sides, and while we saw they had some beers and desserts we didn't try that either, but everything looked goodOur bill was $21. Not bad at all!

The Red Pepper Deli is a unique cafe located in downtown Madison. The building itself is 150 years old! Thanks to Yelp reviews and a fellow travel blogger, we decided to grab lunch here after hiking through Clifty Falls park.My husband had the special of the day, I wish I remembered the name of it but it was really good (with lots of meats and chipotle sauce!) I had a roast beef panini. They offer a variety of cold and warm sandwiches, each is served with a bag of chips for around $7-8 a sandwich. You can grab a side dish from their small deli case if you prefer that over the chips, for an additional fee. They have unlimited Pepsi fountain drinks available (just under $2) and also a beverage cooler with some drinks as well (didn't catch what those were). Sandwiches were good, nothing that "wowed" me but they were good and hit the spot after a cold hike. All are made to order so you can customize your sandwich as you'd like.They also have fresh soups every day. And catering available. The cafe was very clean (in fact, the staff was cleaning up each table as people left while we were there).

The absolutely Best Deli place in Indiana. All their little town of madison inspired sandwiches are absolutely to die for. They are made fresh right in front of you and by far the best sandwiche you will eat. My last visit I had the chicken club and it melted in my mouth. The place is quaint and has a very relaxed and fun vibe inside! Definitely a must try if you have not and passing by, you will not regret it

My absolute favorite deli! You cannot go wrong with any selection! It says something that my voice is recognized by the staff when answering for my to go order...and they know what I want!!!!

Had the Southwest Turkey Sammy, it was delicious. Everyone there was super friendly and the atmosphere was quaint and charming. Will definitely go back! Wasn't too excited about the potato salad there was something missing for me but to each their own! Definitely give them a try!

Food was good and fresh. Service was fast and great. Small town sandwich shop. Would recommend.
