Absolutely gorgeous place. But the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They are a very expensive place to rent, but what they don't tell you is there are so many added fees after you've paid the initial deposit. Yes some people are fine with spending the money... but put those charges on upfront! It was a crazy amount of add ons for an already pricey venue. They don't even provide the wedding insurance. What kind of venue isn't already insured? The lack of communication and professionalism was disheartening. My sister got married here last Friday and it was a beautiful wedding... but all the behind the scenes was a disaster. They had scheduled tours for when the bride and groom were having their "first touch" and reading prayers... so there were people talking over them and getting in the way of the PAID photographer and videographer. And they didn't listen when told to lower their voices. Extremely rude and the fact that they didn't tell anyone they were scheduling random people to come in and look while a wedding was taking place was just really unprofessional. It made the bride and groom very upset and honestly made me quite upset too. I understand it's also a shared business space but I saw no one from the other businesses get in the way more than the actual event people. And then they only have five approved caterers. Which makes sense when you under the industry... but why they chose those specific caterers made no sense because of the lack of communication with them was just awful. And one of the caterers never even got back with us after an inquiry. And the one caterer we went with had probably the worst food I've eaten. Like I've had better cafeteria food. And they wouldn't approve of any other vendors, even if they were reputable and had a full staff. Terrible communication. Ridiculous standards. Would never recommend this spot to anyone.

The Pointe is a cool place for a wedding. It is Pinterest-Picture-Perfect. A pretty mash up of industrial minimal meets rustic.I have attended two different weddings here, and both were absolutely wonderful. They both had very similar feels to them, because the space has a defined aesthetic to it already, and there is only so much that can be done to change up a space that during the week also is home to other businesses and studios. But it also appears as though they are happy to work with you to provide unique and individual touches. It is an all-in-one venue. Space for the ceremony as well as the reception. A reception room big enough for a decent sized wedding party table, cake table, bar, cozy guest tables for dinner, and still space for an ample dance floor. The restrooms are clean and there are enough to handle a weddings' worth of folks through out the night with minimal lines. They have a dedicated, though small parking lot, and as long as there isn't a huge event at Copper and Kings up the road, ample street parking is available. The ceremony chairs could use some refreshing/replacing. The first wedding I attended here had many people annoyed and embarrassed that the seats of the chairs weren't holding properly and falling towards the ground...sometimes bringing their seated cargo with them. It was a slight comfort once one realized that they were not alone in this occurrence...but still embarrassing.Certainly worth checking out as a venue, if you are looking for a joint ceremony/reception space!

Reviewing as a wedding attendee only - once. We attended a wedding here and I can't speak to the staff because I don't know who was hired by the Pointe and who was brought in by the bride. But this event is mostly a shout out to any brides looking for a sophisticated, modern event space that can be transformed into anything your little heart desires. The wedding we attended was contemporary and clean and the space was perfect for the brides style. My favorite part of the space? The GORGEOUS natural lighting throughout. The space is IDEAL for winter brides too as you can get married inside the space with natural skylights that bring in beautiful light, then move into the larger area that can seat up to around 250. Highly reccomend for any modern brides, people who like clean - raw spaces for events, and photographers who want to make their clients look FLAWLESS.

I came here for a friend's wedding and had a lovely time. The young lady who manages the property, Kaela Hammerstrom, does a masterful job turning what could be a mundane or industrial space into something magical for events of all kinds. There are several businesses here as well so it is a great creative space for start ups, established companies, or artistic cooperatives. It was easy to find the location, there was ample parking, everything was clean, well-lit, and there was enough bathrooms. Also, as someone who frequently helps disabled people around it was nice that everything was easy to get to and accessible for humans of all abilities. Good work, Kaela.

I loved this unique wedding venue! What a cool place. I loved how the wedding was right down the hall from the reception. Very convenient. The natural light beaming through the windows during the ceremony was lovely, but it also made it pretty hot. I saw numerous people fanning themselves and I was pretty uncomfortable. That would be my only complaint. I say turn the air down a few more notches during the actual ceremony and it would be perfect! The reception room was absolutely gawwwwjuuuus! The prettiest I've ever seen. The decor was splendid. It was something I would want. Very romantic and elegant but not at all stuffy or stiff. Also, the food served was extraordinary. My favorite was the jalapeño bacon cornbread muffins. I wanted to stuff several of those in my purse. Lol! I was told the venue caters all its events. Awesome! There was an open bar, great dance floor, and a fun band. We also all had a champagne toast to the bride and groom. Nice touch! I also loved how they served appetizers and cocktails before the actual ceremony. Another terrific detail!

I attended a personal opinion study study last week at The Pointe. The space is great for informal meetings like the one I attended. Could use a little bigger parking lot. But, it's a very unique meeting space. There are other businesses located within this spot. Made Market has used the location for vendors along with great space for food trucks. Perfect spot for a wedding/reception or special event/party, too.

Do NOT select this venue for a summer wedding! Do NOT! We had a wedding for 225 guests on 8/7/2021. While the venue was lovely and most everything went perfectly the entire day, we were faced with an extremely uncomfortable setting because of the lack of appropriate cooling in the facility for the number of guests in attendance. It started when the wedding party arrived at 4 pm and the thermostat was set on 74. The wedding was scheduled to begin at 6 pm. I asked for the thermostat be turned down and was told by the 2 wedding planners that it wasn't possible. As the evening progressed and the reception started the temperature rose to 78 and then 80. After countless requests to do something about the temperature I noticed the thermostat had been set on 68. I was told that the air conditioner couldn't keep up. The bridal party that had been through hair and make up ended up in pony tails and the men in tuxedos and suits were dripping wet with perspiration! Multiple people told me that evening that every wedding they had attended at the Pointe in the summer had been terribly uncomfortable. On Monday after the wedding I went to retrieve a few items left behind and spoke with Kaitlyn Fink (wedding planner). I told her I thought everything had gone well with the exception of the temperature, and I knew she wasn't surprised because I had expressed my displeasure many many times during the course of the evening. The last thing we wanted was for our guests to be UNCOMFORTABLE. I told Kaitlyn about others remarking about similar temperature issues when attending other weddings at the Pointe in the summer. I asked her why the Pointe had done nothing knowing there is a temperature issue in the summer when so many people are in attendance for an event. She told me the building was old, the pipes were old and it was expensive to fix it. I said well I would recommend you adding additional cooling units to the property. Kaitlyn told me that had been discussed in the past, but it was too expensive. I would have NEVER selected this venue if I knew my guests would be in an 80 degree property all dressed up for a wedding. Writing this so others know and are not caught off guard (as we were) by the inadequacy to keep people comfortable in a celebratory setting. Now several days after the wedding the only remarks we are receiving is about the temperature. It is obvious the Pointe knew this is a problem but is unwilling to invest a solution because it is too expensive. #hotandbothered

The Pointe was my dream wedding venue. We had a morning wedding with the ceremony in the atrium and the reception in the Barrel room with about 170 guests. I couldn't find a more simple, yet beautiful venue in Louisville. It's an old warehouse turned office space/event venue situated in picturesque Butchertown, with high ceilings, wood floors, brick walls, natural lighting- everything brides dream about. Kaela, the event coordinator, did an excellent job of responding to all of my questions in a timely manner (usually within the hour). She walked us through everything from table placement to caterer to ceremony backdrop. She was very patient throughout it all, we didn't have any issues.

This venue transformed beautifully to a wedding venue. There was plenty of space, having the ceremony space separate feed nicely into the area where the reception was. All around, the space was very accommodating. The Chairs/seating was the only issue. I was told that the chairs were furnished by the space itself, and the chairs were the only draw back, uncomfortable and other issues.

I really love The Pointe. It's a great venue space. I have had the opportunity to attend both a formal law school event and a wedding here, and both were wonderful. The space is gorgeous, and very accommodating. I also love the Made Market, which is hosted here. There are numerous businesses housed in The Pointe, and I haven't had any experience with them, but if you're looking for a venue for an event, or for something fun to do on a weekend when they're hosting the Made Market, I would definitely recommend checking out The Pointe.
