What a hidden gem in Indiana! I stayed for 4 nights and had an excellent experience. The Innkeeper, Ryan, had excellent communication regarding the check-in process, recommendations and ongoing service. Breakfast every day was delicious and visiting with and meeting other guests was delightful. The bed itself is dreamy and I want one.The place is stunning and beautiful and very clean. I was a bit cold at night (November visit) and requested and received an extra blanket which helped.I have zero negatives and would stay here again.

I loved staying here on a quick weekend trip back to New Albany. The staff were SO friendly and it was truly one of the best experiences I've had when going back to visit home. The rooms are gorgeous. We chose to stay in one of the regular rooms, and had plenty of space in the bedroom and bathroom for our things. There was also a really fun page with suggestions of things to do in the area. For food, it really was a great start to the day having a home cooked meal surrounded by the other guests. Everyone got along really well and it made us much more of a morning person to know we're starting our day with hearing stories of where the other guests are traveling to.This is definitely a place I'll be staying again. With the spacious room, beautiful decor, private overlook room and breakfast included, it was better than any boutique hotel we've stayed in previously.

Not often when I leave a place do I feel exhilarated. What a great and unexpected time I had. Although I was late Sharon was kind enough to wait to greet me. I already thought the facade of the building was pretty cool and I was only expecting a regular stay. The dining room was already set for breakfast and looked amazing. It wasn't going to be just breakfast but an experience. I was shown around the property and introduced to my room. As promised... a huge comfortable bed. I had thought I'd care about nothing else, but every corner and ceiling presented a new photo opportunity in this historic manor house. I was greeted by other guests and invited out to sit on the veranda and enjoy the free bourbon and brownies put out for everyone. I don't go to bed early but this time I could not help but want to get a long peaceful sleep and make sure I was able to make the 8.30am breakfast on time. Definitely you don't want to be late. Slept like a log!Breakfast all the guests met in the dining room. We were seated and introduced to friends we had never met. Sharon the caretaker served up coffee and tea to get us started. Cut up fruit was served with yoghurt and granola. Hot Home made American scones were put out and then our breakfast was a Mexican tostada... right way to say it?It was all delicious and filling. I never thought were were going to be treated so well. If I'd known I would have booked two nights and checked out the area in more depth. It was not just a overnight stay but a true experience which should make the area proud. I'm Australian and I wanted to know more of the history. I'll definitely put this place on my list to do again. Everything was just beautiful.

I am loathe to give a review only because I am afraid of this place becoming so popular (and rightly so) that I can never book it again. I plan on TRYING to stay here again anytime I am anywhere near the vicinity for any trip. After a series of hotels filled with pot and cigarette smoke halls and rude neighbors yelling... a nice, quiet, clean, comfortable and amazing room was a delight.

Great place to spend a night or two. Great location across the street from the Culbertson mansion museum which is a must. The pepin overall is very nice, there are some things that could be better but thats everywhere especially in old bnb's. High ceilings and large rooms are great to wake up in. The breakfast is cool because everyone eats in the formal dining room. Cathy was friendly and makes you feel at home. Overall great place to spend relaxing weekend away from the big shitty.

Nice ambiance for a small gathering. I attended a baby shower here and it was quaint and charming. Like many of these older homes converted to businesses, everything is picturesque, but some comprises on overall capacity are going to be expected. I did not stay in the bed and breakfast, but I hope to some day and will provide an update. Tea time anyone?

This is not your average Bed and Breakfast. My fiancé and I were traveling through Louisville on our way to the Carolinas. We booked this last minute through a third party site. We stayed in the Marilyn Suite upon recommendation of Stacey, the even planner who answered the phone. We had a private sitting room with TV and large bathroom with a shower. The Marilyn suite was on the backside of the Mansion and separate from the other three suites. We were able to see the other three suites and each had a private bathroom and sitting area (one suite had a detached bathroom). The rooms were inviting, quiet, and clean. That mansion was beautifully restored keeping its old charm with elegant decor. The Mansion doubles as an event center for gatherings of all sizes. It was staged for a wedding when we visited. My fiancé and I would have loved to plan a wedding there. Mimi, the Innkeeper made this trip for us. She messaged us immediately after making the reservation. She made arrangements for our late arrival and left a note with directions, including how to find the complementary cookies, coffee, water, beer (although they were out), and wine. She also made arrangements for breakfast making sure we did not have any dietary restrictions. Our morning started with coffee, juice, fruit salad, eggs, bacon, and Carmel apple French toast (topped with whipped cream)! The owner, Ron, stopped by breakfast to say hello and was more than happy to share some of the mansion's history with us. He also mentioned that downtown New Albany was very historic with shops and great restaurants. We hope to go back with our families for a long weekend. Hopefully in warmer weather so we can enjoy the large front porch and walk to some of the local businesses.

My family had a wedding here recently. The mansion is beautiful. Denise who was the officiant and Dante, the photographer, were great as were the DJ and bartender whose names I do not remember. However, Janna, the event coordinator, was terrible. She is poor at communication and did little in the way of coordination. Her failure to coordinate appropriately during key parts of the wedding created completely unnecessary stress for the bride on her special day. If you want to host an event here, please hire your own coordinator. We wish we had.

THIS IS A WARNING READ TO THE END.My daughter had her wedding at The Pepin Mansion in New Albany IN recently I will start with what was good and finish with what wasn't. First, this is a beautiful place to hold a wedding, it is a little broken between rooms, but it can work. The officiant Denise was awesome to work with, (not sure this would have worked at all if it hadn't been for her). The DJ, photographer (Dante) and bartenders were wonderful as well. I would recommend any of these people to anybody sorry I don't have names for the DJ or Bartender. Now to the problems, the wedding coordinator (Janna) is the worst I have ever seen or heard of. At first my daughter called me crying on multiple occasions because the coordinator wouldn't call her back and I defended the coordinator saying she is probably busy with other weddings and she will pull it together when it gets closer (I was wrong) she didn't come to the rehearsal dinner and had no idea what was going on at the wedding (Denise the officiant) did a lot of her job and the family had to do the rest. This made it hard to enjoy the wedding and had my daughter stressed out to the end. The bride was crying due to the problems the coordinator was causing and asked her father to ask that she leave. When complaints were made, they said they were calling the police on the father of the bride (they never showed up) but this put a damper on the wedding. The owner finally showed up and pulled the bride and groom into a meeting (during their reception that they paid for) then did nothing. Well, he did give them a 25% off coupon if they want to use them again.Bottom line if you want to save the bride and family a lot of stress don't use this place. If you must use this place do not use Janna, get your own coordinator, or go someplace else.
