Cute little pub with amazing service.The food was delicious. We ordered more than we could eat The appetizer would have been a meal in itself. We ate before the crowd arrived. We will be back for certain. So glad we stopped in

We eat here a few times a month. It's always good food and great service! The ambiance of a great Irish pub always lures me in!

Second time at the Local starter the fried pickles that were crispier this time could have been down a little bit longer. Drinks started with the Irish red which was nice with a bit of sweetness, wife had a Snake bite which is a go to with nice separation. Entrees Whiskey Burger and steak fries and the wife had the shepherds pie. Whiskey Burger was good but a bit dry. The wife likes the shepherds pie. Fries were well cooked and not greasy. Service was excellent and they were attentive. Overall nice atmosphere with industrial atmosphere.

I was in Hopkinsville looking for something local and it was like God answered my prayers. It was like he sent me to The Local. Well my buddy and I were the outoftowners here.We started out with an appetizer of Guiness BBQ meatballs! Oh yeah, perfect beginning to this meal. The BBQ sauce was smoky but had that hint of Guiness. Get ready because that will be a running theme. For my entree, I asked the waiter for a recommendation and his first choice was the Irish Banger and Mash. The sausage came in a Skillet with mash potatoes but what made this entree worth eating was the onion gravy! The gravy was rich and added so much to the sausage and Mas potatoes. I also chose Guiness Mac and cheese as a side! This Mac and cheese had the Guiness flavor to it with a whole lot of cheesiness! Sweet tea was refreshingly sweet!The service was a little slow but friendly! For the meatballs, Mac and cheese, and gravy - that is what you want from here. The rest was good too but those three items really made The Local feel welcoming to an out of towner like myself.

It's a cute little place with authentic Irish food and a great bar. The Guinness is cold, service is friendly, and food is excellent. I highly recommend the fish and chips, and the shepherds pie. The crab cakes and pretzel are great starters. Make a reservation on Friday or Saturday, but definitely stop in.

Excellent food and service ; took family from out of town; great ambience! I had ahi tuna ; cooked to perfection!

Came for lunch. Amazing salmon, veggies and rice. Perfectly seasoned. The chef hand delivered my meal. I couldn't get enough.It's an Irish pub, so of course they have Guinness on tap, great pour. What an awesome lunch!!

Stopped in on our way to a soccer game. Quick service and excellent food. I liked that they had Hopkinsville Brewing Company beer available.

Great place downtown Hopkinsville. I was in town for work and Yelp helped me find this hidden gem. Get it a Shot you won't be disappointed.

Food was great. Got to meet the owner, Peter, really nice guy. IF YOU DONT LIKE STOUTS, get the Guinness on tap. It is not like any other stout you ever had. Also, their whiskey burger and Guinness Mac & cheese are so good!
