This is a cool venue! My first visit was this April for my cousin's wedding. It is located in downtown Louisville near Slugger Field and is close to a parking garage. Upon entering the building, we were of course greeted by the guest book team, but also the staff of the Ice House. They offered to check in coats, stood with trays of cocktails and helped direct us to the elevator for the reception. My cousin originally intended for a roof top wedding and reception but the weather was not cooperating. They set up chairs and a trellis on the 2nd floor, which is surrounded by windows. This section would fit more than 100 people (if that) but this worked well for my cousin's guest list. We had plenty of room for the quick ceremony. The reception took place on the 1st floor level and is wonderfully large - much more than we expected. A full bar is on the far side of the room, a large dance floor in the middle and a stage for the DJ or presentors. Round tables were beautifully decorated and in the corner my cousin placed a photo booth. I also appreciated a connected outdoor area where guests could step out for a smoke. Although they were outside, glass windows are built around the area so it feels like people are still close because you can see them.Behind the bridal table were huge letters that were lit with bulbs and spelled LOVE. Nice, simple but elegant touch. The food and service was fantastic. The team was quick to bring out more items to the table and buffet line. The bartenders were also fantastic. Every drink was delicious and it was made quickly. The only question mark is acoustics for this venue during dancing or presenting - and, it's a bit of a blank slate so you may need to get creative or bring in decorations for a large event.

The bottle service sucked . Party of 10 we each paid about $300 a piece . Each person should be able to sit down and have their own seat. We paid for a section for 10 not 4! The staff didn't bring out our bottles until 50mins later and brought out bottles for people who got sat after us! The music wasn't good either no one could dance to it !! The whole situation messed up my family's night. We expected to have a good time getting lit instead more than half stood up the whole time didn't even have a drink in our hands until we told the people over 4 times about our bottles. All the food was cold and stale! No one knew who was hosting us so disorganized! Horrible experience.

Was here for a wedding and it was a really good venue! With free parking across the street. Great for 75+ people and the food was really good. I believe this place is all inclusive, my only advice is if you are able to, have someone else be the DJ/MC. The Dj/MC this place has to offer was "interesting". I wasn't a fan and neither were other people. He was super nice and meant well, I just don't think he stuck to what the bride and groom wanted (I asked them lol).

Salutations! I've been to The Ice House many times. I went to a wedding reception there and it was great. I've been to different events, but my favorite was the wine tasting over the summer of 2014 every month. It was always a relaxing time with good people. Erica was a teriffic host and we always had good wine. Bottom line, if you need a nice venue check out The Ice House. Cheers!

The Jack Daniels experience party (Art, Beats and lyrics ) was awesome. If you didn't party there last night for derby. You truly missed out. The music was great. The art work was extraordinary. You received 1 free drink, free shots and food. All you had to do was RSVP. Also, I loved the diverse crowd. I will definitely attend next year. This is an event you have to show up on time or you will miss out.
