The Georgetown Bakery

Though I'm not a pastry or dessert consumer, I chose The Georgetown Bakery to treat our church staff for breakfast mid-week. The customer service was outstanding - even at 8am when they are facing the morning demand for coffee and donuts! I selected 12 of their pastries to go. I wish I had more office staff to feed because I would've liked to have selected one of everything! The mid-week breakfast treats were not only a surprise as they were eager to make their selections to accompany their coffee! If you need to make someone's mid-week go much smoother, I highly recommend treats from The Georgetown Bakery!

I stoppwd by on a Thursday morning for a little treat. I was unable to find any prices for any of their baked good. I scaned the entire menu and looked all over the display case, yet no prices. I got a glazed doughnut and a cinnamon roll doughnuts. It was almost $5 for those two items combined. The glazed doughnut was delicious. The cinnamon wasn't fully cooked. It was raw dough in the middle and activity stretched. Overall it wasn't what I was looking for in a baked good or a business.

One couple in the place, should have known right then to leave. We hardly seen the waitress, had to go ask for anything we needed. The dining experience was not good. The food was absolutely horrible. If you like microwaved meat and fries go ahead, it was hard and impossibly chewy. The Mac & Cheese was tasteless and extremely dry, on top of that it was only like 3 small spoonfuls. At $3.00 it should have been the best ever, instead it was inedible and disgusting. We had them remove it from our bill, No way would anyone pay for that crap. There are many more Restraunt's to spend your hard earned money at. The place looked nice, but then again there was no one there to dirty it up. You have been warned!!!

We went for breakfast after the St James Art Fair. I ordered the big breakfast but after finishing that, I ate some of my wife's biscuits and gravy. Best I've ever had!! I'll order my own next time!! The eggs, bacon and smashbrowns were great too. They have donuts but I had no room for more!! Staff was super friendly!! We will be back!!

We had high hopes for this place. It's cute and close by. We likely will not return. The server was awful. We waited a long time for her, Then after we ordered it took her 20 minutes to come back to say the fryer was not hot and the kitchen was asking for my husband to pick something else to order instead of the chicken fried steak. We couldn't get her attention to get refills on drinks and she never came back to check on us once. The food was ok. The sausage Pattie's and half the hashbrowns were overcooked and dry. It took nearly 45 minutes to get some pretty simple meals and the seats weren't even half filled.

Great little bakery with the breakfast essentials. I love their hash browns. Their donuts are amazing. Just remember this is a small business. The service has always been great. Food comes out hot and fast. I visit a couple of times per month. You can get donuts without sitting at a table. They also have a drive through for donuts.

A nice place for breakfast (only been here for breakfast) the smashbrowns are tasty - service is good although checking out can be slow - they offer a wide variety of pastries and the counter can get jammed up while folks make their selections.

I had a breakfast bowl this morning. It came exactly how I ordered and was great! The wait staff were pleasant and very attentive. When asked for additional items we received them almost immediately. The store was clean and ready for all their customers. This is my second visit and I will be back!

We were there on a Sunday about 12:30p. They were busy. It took about 10 minutes to seat us and some guy just decided to seat himself. They have breaded pork tenderloin sandwich , cheese curds, cheesecake, and cookies. There staff needs better training on serving tables and using their POS system. I say this coming from a food service background.

I've eaten there twice this week, but I probably won't be back. The service was bad both times. We waited over 30 min for food. My biscuits and gravy were cold. The cheesecake looked delicious, but it wasn't very good. I have had donuts, cupcakes and they are not great. I'm a sweet lover, and I live close to the bakery, but I dont go there often. There was female manager working, but she looked like she was not friendly.
