We had a lovely dog friendly lunch here on Saturday. Everything there is just lovely. The patio is covered with plants. The "roof" is open wood slats, but there's enough shade from the trees to keep most tables pretty cool. Tables are a bit close, but it feels more cozy than cramped. I ordered the Reuben with fresh fruit. The fruit medley changes depending on what's in season. Mine was blood orange, grapes, blueberries, and honeydew. The sandwich had plenty of meat, thick toasted marble rye, and just the right amount of cheese, sauce, and sauerkraut. I washed it all down with iced sassafras tea, which I highly recommend.Bring Fido says they are dog friendly, but I couldn't confirm that in the Yelp review or on the restaurant webpage, so I called them. There wasn't an answer but their voice mail suggests messaging via Facebook. I tried that and received an answer within a couple minutes. Nate Dogg was very pleased about that, and he received lots of compliments and scratchies from the staff.

Cute & quaint little farmhouse cafe with great service, yummy food, & beautiful flowers. I highly recommend the mango chicken salad with homemade mango vinaigrette- it is amazing! When we went our waitress told us they were low on staff but we're doing the best they could & had been low on staff for several weeks. We had no issues with our service & received our food within 15minutes of ordering it. If you have a chance to stop by, please do & help this little place out!

This place is all about the ambiance. There is charm for days. Wait staff is spread thin, and there are signs posted everywhere to remind you of that, so it' might not be the right choice if you're on a schedule. The food was hit and miss on this visit. The ham and bean soup was extremely salty. Whereas the potato salad lacked any seasoning and needed salt. The ham sandwich with pickles was mighty tasty. But the Summer Greens and Herbed Shrimp Salad was disappointing. There was zero seasoning on the supposed garlic and herb seasoned shrimp, they were just warmed up. The salad included tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and scant advocation but the artichoke hearts and hard boiled egg were missing. When I asked about them (after half my salad was consumed because that's how long it took for a server to walk by) I did get the artichoke but they were out of egg apparently. Which was a bummer since that's an added protein. The mango vinaigrette dressing was delicious but the pile of greens was rather small so it was a very unsatisfying lunch.

Absolutely charming restaurant and staff. Be prepared to have a second choice ready as they run out of things occasionally, but better fresh than not...they don't over invest in materials, which I respect. Not the best gluten free offerings.

I love the sassafras tea! Lunch was wonderful and just love the ambiance there. Much more fun to go during nice weather and dine outside. But we were able to enjoy the green house.

110% filled with ambiance. You definitely need to GPS this spot in and drive out to the county to find this old charming, full of character homestead just out of town from the Brown County shopping area.We were greeted by chickens, seated by the fire and served up good food. The bacon is great, the ham was delicious and the club sandwich did not disappoint. The homemade potato salad was creamy, tangy and had chunks of celery, my favorite. Good sweet tea. The potato soup and the vegetable soup were okay. The provide chips and spinach dip, nice tasty surprise. If weather permits you can dine outside and walk the grounds at the nursery.

Love this place. We like to go after hiking around or visiting Bloomington. Have tried both the sandwiches and more hearty fare. All delicious. Love the potato salad and can never pass on the desserts! Only disappointment is when they run out of what I'm interested in ordering

Had a lovely lunch on a rainy day. Staff is welcoming and the food was good. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. Worth the short drive from Nashville.
