The Eagle Oxmoor

Decided on The Eagle because of its location. We were trying to eat somewhere near Oxmoor and we were tired of Condado. Anyway, ordered the fried chicken, Mac n cheese, collard greens and the spoonbread (which is cornbread). Yummy! Miss that southern cooking! Everything we ordered was delicious! Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of every dish but I have a few. The staff was great! Shout out to the head chef / kitchen manager Danny. And shout out to the bartender working with him (I didn't get his name). They each provided a great customer experience dealing with situations. I left my to go box and they took care of me. Another customer was not feeling well at the restaurant and they took care of him too. Hand clap for the service and food!

Someone told us that they had excellent fried chicken. We happened to be at the mall so we decided to stop in.We ordered the hush puppy appetizer. There were six to the order and they were hot and fresh.For lunch, we both quarter white chicken. It came with a breast and wing for $10. Sides are extra so we decided on the macaroni and cheese and collard greens.I am not sure what the hype is about the chicken it is very salty, not crunchy and served with a horrible "spiced honey". Overall, just average.

Finally stopped by this new location of the eagle. We were in Oxmoor and decided we wanted a bite to eat before continuing shopping, this is one of the only sit down places nearby. I've had the Eagle before and this experience did not disappoint. Food was good and hot. I tried their chicken dip appetizer, and it was a little spicy, but still good. The only thing I would like to see some improvement on is service. Our waitress was obviously new, which is nothing against her, but our drinks went empty many times. The manager and other service staff walked by us multiple times. This usually wouldn't be a big deal however, the restaurant was relatively empty with only a few other tables.

Went on a Saturday night and had a reservation. We were sat quickly. Our waitress, Taylor, was friendly and efficient. Really Enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and all the sides we ordered: collard greens, sweet potatoes, mac n cheese, & fries.

Great chicken, and service was exceptional. Its a bit loud, but looking forward to coming back!

I had such a wonderful time with my 2 co-workers. For me, it is the difference between a 4-star and 5, when the service is top notch and you're so happy to be there enjoying a meal together.We dialed the restaurant to ask about seating (yes, they have table and booth space, plus seats around the bar). They told me reservations are taken but Monday is also a lighter night. We walked in around 6:45p and had no problem snagging a booth.We tried to many things! Pickled green beans, salads, chicken, and a plethora of sides! The 3 of us shared every side so there's plenty if you decide to do this as well. Service was stellar, from our server to the manager. We had plenty of check ins and lots of discussion. When the weather turns warmer, patio tables will be available as well.

I sat at the bar and ate dinner. The bar is pretty big and it was filled with people. A lot of people had the peach jalapeño margarita so it must be good but I decided to just get a glass of sauvignon blanc ($8). I also ordered the quarter white chicken ($10), collard greens ($5) and macaroni and cheese ($8). The Mac and cheese was really good! I like the chicken best with the spicy honey. It gave it a nice sweet heat.

OMG. We picked here after a search on Yelp for "best fried chicken". We were not disappointed. Menu items are ala carte. The sides were big enough for 2. We had drumsticks, Mac and cheese, fries, and the hush puppy appetizer. The chicken is actually not fried but is more of a broasted chicken. The breading is very light and amazingly seasoned. I can't say that it was truly the "best fried chicken" I have ever had, but I don't remember having a better one. Accessibility- parking is in a shared lot and is a little ways from the building but nothing dramatic. Chairs are a little tight but it shouldn't be an issue for mobility. Directions - Google maps was confusing. go past the mall. You'll need to use the signs for Top Golf parking.

This location is a lot smaller than the one Bardstown Rd. The service was very slow. We literally had to ask to be seated. No one was really working the door. The food was great. Some items were a little over priced but that's to be expected in this day and age. Have patience, the food is worth the wait.

Chicago was great taking care of us! Food was excellent - will go back! Had a great meal!
