This hotel is still new and has a lot of potential! The location is great, right in downtown Franfort...walking distance to shopping and good eats. Check in was easy and quick. It was clean and modern, the staff was accomodating (Jason at check in was great!). I loved the color scheme, the bourbon theme and overall vibe. Cypress and Oak is attached and their food/drinks were amazing. Scarlett, the bartender there was a local and knowledgable not only in mixology but the area and where the good local eats are...sweet as can be, too.It needed a bit of forethought before opening: * There's no ice machine, yet you get an ice bucket (super frustrating to walk down the halls of every floor looking for a vending room - yes you have to look for the vending because there's no phone in the room to call down to the front desk.* There's no phone in the room.* You're charged an incidental fee ($100), yet there are no incidentals * No mini bar (although mini bar is listed in the amenities) * No microwave * No Hangers * No phone* The vanity sink spigot is oddly placed* The outlets are too low to look at yourself in the mirrow while blow drying your hair (and I am 5'0 - If you're any taller, grab a chair or sit on the floor).* The towel rack in the bathroom is about 8" above the toilet...not ideal to hang a towel, hand towel or even a wash cloth. There was one towel hook next to the shower.* The room could definitely use more places to hang stuff (we visited in December and had our winter coats and fancy clothes for a nice dinner out). Then there's Parking (or lack of). There are about 6-8 spots on the street in front of the hotel or parking behind the hotel in the Credit Union parking (which is marked Credit Union parking only). There is a church next to the hotel, but good luck and becareful parking/turning around there. These are tiny details that would make the experience at this newly opened hotel a 5 star vs. a 3 star. I would stay here again if we were in Frankfort, I'd just remember to pack my hangers and extension cords.

We were excited to check out this new hotel as we were passing through Frankfort. The pictures online looked inviting and stylish. However, we were very disappointed by our visit:1. We were upgraded to a room on the third floor (nice) but the room had the AC running and was at 57 degrees. No one had turned up the heat in the middle of winter. We put the heat on full blast, and when we came back to the room, the temperature had only risen two degrees.2. While waiting for our room to heat up, we went to the hotel bar in search of a hot tea to warm up. They didn't have many hot tea options, so they offered mulled wine. We asked for one, they have us two, and charged us $15.50 each for some tepid wine from a canister. Way too pricey for what it was.3. On returning to the room to see if it heated up, it hadn't. We went down to reception to ask for help and the desk rep remained on FaceTime while switching us to the room next door. That room had the exact same problem - 57 degrees, no heat, high ceilings. The heating on the third floor seems majorly flawed because of the high ceilings, weak heating unit placed high, and single pane glass. The saving grace was the maintenance worker, Henry, who walked us back down to reception and helped us get moved to a room on the second floor that warmed up faster. Thank you Henry! Other minor issues: Wifi didn't work, only streaming available on TV but many accounts aren't logged in, no hotel phone to ring front desk. Some good features: Very comfortable bed, nice shower, potential to be a cool spot but with some very major kinks to work out.
