**Yelp Review: The Brown Hotel Christmas Day Brunch** The Brown Hotel's Christmas Day Brunch in the Crystal Ballroom was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped into the historic and beautifully decorated ballroom, we were transported to a holiday wonderland. The attention to detail in the decor and ambiance was remarkable, with live piano music adding an elegant touch to the festive atmosphere. The buffet was an absolute feast. Highlights included the prime rib carving station (perfectly cooked!), salmon en croûte, and a variety of delicious sides. The omelet station was a nice touch for breakfast lovers, and the cocktail shrimp was incredibly fresh. Don't even get me started on the desserts--everything from rich chocolate tortes to delicate pastries was beautifully presented and irresistible. Service was impeccable; the staff was attentive without being intrusive and made sure our glasses were always full. It's clear they take great pride in making the experience special for every guest. At $79.95 per adult, it's on the pricier side, but for the quality of food, the ambiance, and the holiday experience, it's absolutely worth it. If you're looking for a memorable way to celebrate Christmas in Louisville, this brunch is an absolute must. Pro tip: Make a reservation early--it's a popular event for a reason!

Everything went exceptionally well at this hotel. We were there for 3 nights and 4days.Came to town for a wedding. The rooms were very nice and classy. Spacious and clean. The maid service was top notch. About 15 couples stayed there in total from our group. The concierge,valet,doormen/woman,shuttle personnel and font desk staff were the most friendly and helpful we have ever experienced.I heard this from everyone in our party. The cafe, dining room, chef and bartenders were the same. Boy did this help to make this a super time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Louisville. Not to mention the history of the place. Thanks Brown hotel!I don't usually take time for reviews but I thought they deserved it. Not one bad apple and that's few and far between these days.

Okay so we are traveling through America and this was our first down in Kentucky. We parked our RV in Louisville and had such a great time here. I made reservations for 5 at 5pm. We came about 15 minutes early, because if you're on time, you're late. Hehe. They couldn't seat us until right at 5pm, which was fine, we went to explore the hotel. It is soooo beautiful. We get to be seated and our waiter was wonderful. He gave us some history on the hotel and what it's known for "The Hot Brown". So of course we had to try that ! Ohhhh, it was sooo delicious that any where we went and if they had that, I would order it. Delicious !

I was in town for work, our meetings at the Brown. Pleasantly surprised when I looked the place up online, even more pleased when I arrived. To say the hotel is charming is an understatement. Beautiful historical building near the entertainment district. My room was spacious and elegant and a real value for the price. Meeting rooms were outstanding and the staff was very friendly and professional. Our attendees had nothing but great things to say about their experience. The Brown is the perfect place to stay for work or leisure. I highly recommend and will bring our business back,

It's a beautiful historical hotel in downtown Louisville Kentucky. 102 years old. Beautiful wooden carvings. Very charming clean room with a comfy bed and plenty of room for 2 in the standard room. The restaurant is so pretty and worthy of all its fame for its signature open face sandwich the brown.

This review is to shine light of the awesome service I received during my line sister's wedding weekend! My old Kentucky home did not fail in making sure we were accommodated and having a great time at every turn! Jodi & James were so kind and knowledgeable at the bar. And Andres was very attentive when we dined in for brunch. This hotel has an old feel with a lot of old fixtures but it was beautiful all the same. They also offer shuttle service to and from the hotel to the airport.

A grand classic hotel from back in the day! The rooms are large, comfy bed and huge walk-in closet (however there was no illumination??), lots of windows--including in the bathroom. The issue, the bathroom drains..., all needed clearing...When there you must try the "hot brown" open face turkey sandwich with all the fixings, lobster Mac and brussel sprouts and of course an old fashioned!

I stayed in this legendary Louisville hotel for a few days last month while I was in town for work. I had heard great things and saw all the lovely reviews so I didn't hesitate when I booked online. This hotel is right in downtown Louisville, across from a library, next to several restaurants, other hotels, and even the Palace Theater. Once inside it definitely feels like you flew back in time several decades. From the piano player in the lobby to the fancy sit down restaurant and bar, it was definitely an experience. And you can't forget all of the derby memorabilia and elaborate wallpaper. The same vibe continued as I made my way to my room. It was rather dated in some areas. My biggest complaints were that I had a few issues with my television, there were exposed wires in many places, the wifi was poor, and it was freezing in my room... even though it was 85 outside and I didn't have the AC on at all. I actually saw a staff member bring up a space heater for another room down from mine... maybe I should have asked for one too. Oh - I also had some issues with the parking and garage but the folks at the front desk were able to get it all sorted out. While the southern charm is evident in every nook and cranny of this hotel, I simply prefer a more modernized space when I travel. The experience was fun, though.

We arrived for our dinner reservation in the Lobby Bar and were treated politely by the valet, the doorman, the hostess...so nice! The room is elegant with white tablecloths and lovely piano music. Rob was our waiter and was most gracious, as were other wait staff who assisted. We had the Farmer's Salad which was a nice mix of greens, nuts, pear and pecorino cheese - crisp and nicely balanced dressings. There was bread and butter provided. (Don't you miss having a cracker or bread to accompany your salad?). Because had eaten a rather late lunch, we shared the Hot Brown. It was delicious in every way! Then we also shared the Derby Pie, because you have to, right? Everything was a delight in such beautiful surroundings. Highly recommend!
