The Bakery at Sullivan University

It's been awhile since I stopped at The Bakery. I always seen to have time constraints when in Louisville, but I made it a point to stop on my way in yesterday. I purchased two loaves of bread at half price, a Saturday special. Don't miss the pastries. (Unfortunately, it was too hot to leave pastries in my car all day.) 83

This spot is ran by both students and community members and couldn't be a more welcoming place!The food is reasonably priced and I love that you can get loaves of bread, rolls, and focaccia. Their focaccia is pretty delicious, I've returned since my first time and picked up some of it to use at home!Hey have a handful of sandwich selections and a wide variety of pastries/ sweets. They rotate the menu so if you see something you like it's worth grabbing! I tried the cannoli and it was delicious! I had to bring my husband back so he could try them too!Overall: I love this place and their hospitality and would happily recommend it!

Stopped by for a snack. Nice place right off the expressway. Had a cheese danish and ham and cheese croissant. Both were delicious. Service was very friendly. I also had a hot white chocolate raspberry mocha. It was addictive delicious beyond expectations. Convenient private parking lot.

Came to the newly re-open Sullivan Bakery and was blown away. The customer service was top notch with them explaining the products and how they help the community by donating food to a non profit for people who are shut in. Somethings were sold out but was to get ham and cheese croissants, muffins, brownies, and loafs of bread. All were fresh, soft, and very good. Tried the nature healthy drink for the first time and now hooked on them.The place is clean and has several small tables inside. Their instagram page is filled some of the items they sale.Check them out, this will be a regular stop for me.

Excellent bakery with great selections of breakfast baked items as well as some lunch sandwiches. The place is clean and the service is very friendly. I had the cruffin and the dough was very flaky with the right amount of apple filling. You can see the staff creating their crafts. They also have a complimentary dog biscuits . Will definitely be back.

The bakery is churning out fresh baked goods starting very early. You can catch a view of the action through big windows into the kitchen. The food is diverse - with traditional and not-so common pastries, breakfast sweets, and savory bits for breakfast or sandwiches for lunch. The quality is high and prices are reasonable. Location is a little out of the way for some, but it's worth a try. The staff are always smiling, willing to answer questions around less common baked goods, and make for a pleasant visit every time.

Whoever is responsible for the changes here should get an award, a raise and probably a street named after them.I had sworn off this place after a really mediocre experience almost ten years ago. Recently a friend of mine told me how she went and was impressed by the selection, so I decided it was time to see if the place was any different.And WOW it was! I don't know if sandwiches are still offered because I went at like 9 in the morning but what was there was a lovely array of pastries such as koiugn-amann, croissants, danishes and more. Not to mention the awesome selection of breads. I left with a pain au chocolate and a foccacia, which were both lovely. Oh and while the coffee is not as good as say, Quills or Safai, it is miles better than the stuff they used to serve. Definitely returning to give this program more business.

Love this bakery!I had been meaning to check it out for some time but never got around to it.I had a hair consultation appointment around the corner, so I decided to stop by.It was around 2pm on a Tuesday and there were plenty of parking spots open.Upon entering, I saw most tables taken by folks my grandparents age. Ha! The people at the register were so nice! The girl told me she was new but told me that since she goes to school at Sullivan, she eats there a lot and knows the menu well. Fantastic! She gave me some great suggestions!I got me the commonwealth pie (a take on the derby pie), a cannoli, peanut butter cups (way better than Reese's, according to the girl helping me and she was right), and a bourbon ball (Makers Mark was used). Yum! Everything was delicious and cheap! I paid around $11 total, which is a pretty good deal.They also serve sandwiches here, cookies, muffins, no bake stuff, etc.Great place!

Shout out to this wonderful bakery. I'm not sure if many people know of this gem because it is attached to the university! If not, I hope you take the time to acquaint yourselves with their fine work!! I have ordered a few cakes from them, but this was by far my favorite. It was obviously more of a gag cake, but they did a fabulous job. From the tiny imprints on the icing to the cake itself; it was perfect! We could not have been more happy with how it turned out!The pricing is so affordable and they taste so delicious. Please go visit these wonderful people!

I've been to The Bakery several times and have never been disappointed! Sandwich -- wonderful. Quiche -- maybe the best I've ever had. Bourbon Balls -- simply divine. Service has always been top-notch, too. Just go...you'll be happy that you did!
