This was my favorite food stop during our trip through Madison. This place is so adorable, the staff were friendly, and the coffee was delicious. This is the kind of coffee shop that I wish was in my town, I would be here everyday. It looks like it used to be a grocery store, and it looks like they maintained a lot of that historical charm. I had the 1809 drip coffee and it was so smooth. I also split the coffee bar with my brother, it was gooey and delicious. The prices were extremely reasonable.

The Attic catered a lunch i had while in town for art retreat. They got my order perfect. (turkey/cheese panini) and it was wonderful. Good meats/cheese and the portions were filling.

My mom and I were visiting Madison for the art fair and needed a dry spot to kill some time before our Airbnb was ready. This was in a convenient location and had plenty of seating for us to rest a bit. The staff were all super nice and they had a good selection of coffee, teas, sodas, and sweets. I hadn't tried an Italian soda before so I ordered one of those and it was refreshing. The chocolate chip cookie I ordered was nice too--sweet with a touch of salt on top, which is my fave.

My wife and I stopped her to get an iced 'Wake Up Call' coffee and an iced Matcha. Both drinks were okay. We tried striking up conversation with the employees and they seemed stand offish, bland replies, and one of them was on their phones. Overall it was okay.

Service is beyond par - a hearty welcome and a good assessment that new customer might need assistance- sales clerk knew exactly what everything had in it, sandwiches and drinks plus bags of teas and coffee beans. Nice and relaxed atmosphere that I needed in the middle of a day where I was in Madison for training. Will be back soon!
