Went to Tee Dees for a Creative Mornings event. It was the first time I had been to this Blues Club, owned by our local blues musician Tee Dee Young. How many times I've passed it. A chat with Tee Dee himself, the host for this month's CM, I learned that it's the place to be for Blues on Monday night's at 8 PM. He told me you never know who might show up to entertain. Will have to make a point of going soon.

It was our first time to TeeDees. He has a huge reputation in Lexington for his musicianship and skills so we knew it would be great entertainment. We watched and listened to a few jazz videos before the show is this an acceptable substitute we drank and played pool. Too much fun. Then the music started!!! It was only a $1 donation at the door.... it needs to be $10 a head is this an acceptable substitute the music was phenomenal!!' Absolutely worth every penny. They pass the tip jar so tip them well because again, this is a show well worth it! It's a cash only bar.

What an amazing atmosphere and outstanding music! Went out for my birthday with a group of friends, who have not been here before. At the end of the evening they noted that this is a "hidden gem" and we are most certainly returning soon. Tee Dee is extremely talented and his son is a ridiculously good musician too. The staff and Tee Dee himself were welcoming and accommodating. The caliber of musicians shines and makes a pretty simple space, into a hell of a party and best place to be on a Monday or any other evening! For a second I forgot that I am in Kentucky, but to a wonderful place where jazz and blues flourish. Thank you!!

Monday nights starting at 10pm. The very best entertainment experience in Lexington and just a $1 cover, no minimum. This has been happening for 30 years. I have been living in Lexington for almost 20 years. And I never knew this existed? Shame on me.

Holy cannoli!!!!! AMAZING AMAZING MUSIC!!!! We came here, looking for music and definitely got much more then we bargained for! Great musicians and awesome people. They also had chicken wings in the back, but we didn't get any- only because we were full. Best advice? Being cash, no cc taken. If you are a blues person, go here. Now!!! I'm from Milwaukee and this place rivaled our love music!!

Kingston Mines has nothing on Tee Dee's. He and his band have open house every Monday night and everyone's invited- especially if you can get up there and sing, add a harmonica, or take a turn on the drums. You never know what you'll see, but it's great every single time. Hendrix could have learned a trick or two from Tee Dee.

What an unforgettable experience! Top notch musicians in an intimate and welcoming setting. Tee Dee is a legend, but welcomes everybody to his stage because "You never know!" Obviously, many musicians are regulars and WOW are they good! I'll never go anywhere else if I'm in town on Monday night!

We went last night (Monday) based on the Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. Music started at 8:30 ish and things were cranking by 9. Tee Dee is enormously talented and a generous entertainer. We saw a bunch of guests play and sing with the really great house band. Blues, some jazz and a bit of pop. Everyone was fantastic. We got the fried fish dinner for $10 and that was fabulous too. We will be back.

Went there on a Monday night after being recommended by a local resident for good music. What an amazing experience. $1 cover charge and $4 Budweiser's make it a great place for an affordable night and awesome music. The crowd is pretty eclectic but (at least at the time that I went) mostly older (over 65). That being said if your 25 and you enjoy good music you should still go. If I lived in area I would be a regular

Very fun blues atmosphere, we really enjoyed the mom and pop feel of the place and dancing going on. Not a great variety of beers (your basic Bud, Miller bottles, etc), but they do have basic mixed drinks ($7), so come drunk and with a full belly for the music!
