Every year on the Fourth of July weekend or near it, I rent a pontoon out on the lake! It's always a good time. And my friends and I just divide the costs and it's always worth the cost. I will say, this year, I miscounted how many people I had on the lake-- you can only have 10 people per boat depending on the boat. We got a super standard! Well, I was planning for this boat trip- I forgot to include myself. Some guy working made a comment and said someone has to go home because I have 11 people and didn't provide solutions. He scolded me for not paying attention. However, we had two people rent our a dingy which in hindsight- if he would've mentioned that then they would make more money-- instead of scolding my group for having ONE extra person. Also! Book ahead when getting a boat! They fill up fast and when I called about the weather looking like it might lightening and thundering-- they were not concerned and said I could reschedule but they don't have many weekends. I'd suggest they be more willing work with people on weather and to remind people on protocols such as 10 people and offering solutions.

Had an unforgettable time here with the family. We rented a pontoon boat for a very low price considering it was all day! Beautiful scenery

Hello..anyone thinking of renting a pontoon here..PLEASE NOTE: none of their boats have anchors !! Sooo, someone has to stay on the boat while everyone else is enjoying the water...not good..and theyre pricey. Take a look at PATOKA LAKE..GILLIGANS BOAT RENTALS..better pricing, plus you get a cinder block anchor. Located 1 hour from east end Louisville.

This was the second year that we have rented a boat from this marina. Last year we had so much fun out on the boat that we rented for 2 days this year. The boats are in good shape for rentals. If you can afford the pontoon upgrade to the middle one it is totally worth it. Nicer seating and lots of storage. The staff are all super nice and helpful. They provide great directions on how to use the boats and keep everything clean. Carts are even provided for loading and unloading your stuff, which is a big help after a day on the lake.We will definitely be coming back again next year!

Taylorsville Lake Marina is great! We rented a pontoon here last summer and we had a great day out on the lake. If you're looking for an awesome summer day activity, this is definitely it! The marina has easy access gas pumps, a bait shop, boat rentals, and skiing, tubing, boating, and fishing supplies in their store. They also have a full service deli. So, you can basically show up with money in hand, and nothing else, and be able to get everything you need for a day on the lake. The lake is large and beautiful, so it's a great spot to spend the day. Taking out a boat to enjoy the water, tube, float, or fish is a guaranteed day of summer fun!

Rented two boats for the day. the place was easy to find. We packed lunch and a cooler of drinks. We were able to use wheelbarrows to get our stuff from the parking lot to the boat. A young man explained everything on the boat to us. They allowed us to use their air pumps to fill our floats. The water was nice. There are no anchors and the wind and waves move the boat so we had to keep moving the boats to find a place where we didn't drift too fast. Great day and staff were helpful.

Our trailer was taken off of our truck by the owner in his own car rather than a tow service. There was no signage saying we couldn't park where we parked. Other people were violating the parking rules by parking two cars in the trailer spots. Those cars were not towed even though there was signage saying it was not allowed. Charged us 100 dollars cash to retrieve the trailer. Did not even get a real ticket by a tow service or someone that patrolled the parking lot. Just got this paper (see photo)

Been going here since I was a kid with no issue. A few weeks back some old fat guy towed my buddies trailer and then lied about cutting the lock and damaging the hitch. He said it was towed because one of my buddies tires was in the grass from parking on the side of the parking lot, but there were 4 other boats parked in the same exact spot right behind his, and when we got back his was the only one gone with the other boats still untouched watch out for his old ass, he's looking for non regulars to fuck over.

Boat was old had mold on seats radio had no blue tooth and no antenna so no radio. Was apparently crashed on alll sides fixed with duc tape. 90 horsepower motor would no push the boat more than 15 mph. Also no anchors allowed. So good luck swimming without you boat floating away. Ladder had 2 of 4 screws and was falling off and if the other 2 screws fall out it 250$. Also something they don't tell you half the lake is off limits to you as a renter.
