Tacos la chaparrita

Located in the parking lot of a liquor store on Dixie, this food truck hit the spot. I had originally went to Michels Tire Plus next door, while waiting I had a rumble in my tummy and tacos sounded great. They have a menu posted outside the truck and they take both cash and card. I settled on tacos Al pastor. My friend opted for carne asada tacos, and we split a cup of esquite. Our food was made to order. We sat at the tables provided and our food was ready within 10min. First bite of my taco, full of flavor, tender and the tortilla held up nice. My friend mentioned her tacos were as equally delicious. The esquite(corn cup) was good, but maybe slightly acidic. Overall, I would definitely make a return trip. I definitely recommend.

Taco truck in lot at Valley liquors. The size of food is huge. Packed with flavor. It was kind of pricey but the size of food made that equal out. Burritos the size of your head. Also they make the food pretty quick. This parking lot is busy especially on weekend nights.

Coworker sent me here from Ft Knox on my way to Louisville for a steakhouse. She saved me $75 by rerouting to her favorite Mexitucky taco truck.Every other customer at this truck is Mexican, so my hopes are high! And my hemoglobin is running low so I choose all red meat, steak, pork, and lamb. The steak is spot on, add the red and green sauce for a hot time, summer in the city! Pork is next. So lean I think the hogs were bred for the derby. What a shame. I'm the beneficiary. Finally the lamb. Juicy, succulent and sweet, perfect to add a little more red sauce.Tamales are a bit dry but filled with tasty shredded pork, so I'll have two of the three with eggs in the morning at the hotel.Tacos la chaparrita gets five thumbs up from me!

Yes!!!!! This taco truck is amazing! So I went by because I was Craving some authentic Mexican food. I had look this place up and it looked decent. I rode by and the lady took my order was so nice. They also had signs about people stand 6 feet away and they were doing everything to practice social distancing and keeping within the guidelines. She took my order and told me it would be about 10 minutes. When I got my food home it was delicious. The tacos were perfectly cooked the meat with tender. The corn in a cup oh my goodness so full of flavor. I ordered three tacos and a corn in the cup and I believe my total was under $10! The hospice they provided for the tacos two was so spicy and delicious. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other things they have to offer. I definitely recommend trying this place if you want to get Mexican food.

Tacos here are delicious, fresh yellow corn tortillas with and fresh carne Asada. Tacos could have used a bit more meet, specially since they give you two full size tortillas. Also had a chicken quesadilla but I didn't really enjoy it, the chicken to cheese ratio was off. Service was a bit on the lagging side because one of the two ladies just moved to slow like she didn't want to be there. Overall, I'll go back and just have the tacos.

Fabulous. Had a loaded beef burrito from here yesterday with a Mexican coke. Sweet Lord one of the best burritos I've ever had. Thinking about having some tacos tonight. Super fresh, the beef was very flavorful. I had some hot sauce too. Yes it's hot for those that don't really do hot sauce maybe it's not for you but man it was good. Bright orange, it was so time and full of flavor. I'll definitely go back and this time take pictures. Sorry I didn't take any when I was there. The staff was very friendly and was good with any questions. I highly recommend this truck. They have corn in a cup which looked really yummy but I didn't try and what looked like really good quesadillas. I'll be frequenting here often since I live so close. Just remember they accept "cash only". No credit cards. So it's something you need to plan for especially if you're like me and don't normally carry cash. Seems as authentic as you can get when you want some true Mexican tacos/burritos. Highly highly highly recommend..... I'd give it 8 stars of I could.

Very authentic! Not sure what Javier is saying.. They do have burritos. They also have awesome tacos, gorditas(not taco bell gorditas), tortas, quesadillas... The food is all delicious and the meat options are great! Lamb, beef, beef head, choriso, BBQ pork, etc... I go here often and am never disappointed. They also have invested in some really nice coolers and tables in the trailer so I feel good knowing their food is kept fresh (a lot of other taco trucks look and smell.. Well.. Fish - not this one)Best Mexican in town as far as I'm concerned, and I'm pretty picky!

A newcomer to the Fern Creek area. This food truck doesn't serve burritos but does serve some amazing tasting tacos. Like most food trucks, the tacos use two small tortillas. Price per taco is $2. I think most people were ordering 2-3 tacos. I did order some tacos but also ordered a chicken quesadilla for $5. Quesadilla- rip off. SO small and nothing great about it. Go for the tacos. The food truck is located at the Valero Gas station and has couple small tables ( 4 chairs each I think) but most like me were ordering to go. There's another food truck that serves tacos and burritos maybe 10 minutes just down bardstown road but the tacos here I think were better. But maybe it was just because I was so hungry at 11pm on a Sunday. I'll have to go and taste some more of their tacos another time just to make sure I really did like them that much.

Got a ground beef soft taco and chicken soft corn taco. Both were delicious. It took a bite or 2 before the flavors kicked in. A bit of a wait but I had nothing better to do while I waited for my car to get repaired next door. The 2 ladies were very friendly. I might even have a crush on them, they're so friendly and great cooks! Highly recommended! I thought the prices were reasonable. Cheaper and more filling than Qdoba.

Omg I just ate a steak torta from here. It was so delicious! Recommend it very highly.. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. Get it with the hot sauce!! This place never disappoints! By far the best place for Mexican food in Louisville! A+++++
