Taco Choza

Taco Choza is a good taco place that I quite enjoy. This time around, I got the el compadre burrito with steak.The burrito was great! It tasted very good and was a very large portion that I was satisfied with especially for its price. They weren't shy with the steak but gave an abundance of it in the burrito.The environment is good as well as the outside was quite nice, although the inside seating is few and limited. The servers were also all nice and very friendly.I've had Taco Choza's tacos as well and they taste great, but unfortunately the high prices frequently turn me away as I need to eat a lot of tacos per sitting. I enjoyed the burrito because it was a big portion for a good price, and if the tacos can get closer to that portion/price ratio, Taco Choza would be one of the best in my books! But it is still quite good overall and a solid place for tacos or burritos.

I recently stumbled upon this place because I was in the area! The tacos were good and there were a variety of street tacos to choose from. Both of my tacos were authentic and reasonably priced. Definitely will come back here!

Good tacos at a questionable price. Got three different tacos & enjoyed all of them, although the fajita one could have been cooked longer. They are decent sized tacos and full of flavor. I think my hang up here is just the price point. It was $50 for two people to eat. I think that's a little outrageous for a taco place. Granted we got all the "extras" but for $50 I expected a lot more.The elote was blah, wouldn't recommend. Lacked the juiciness and flavors I tend to enjoy. On the bright side it was excellent and kind service. The food was being made fresh.Overall: I would maybe come back and consider only getting tacos and bringing a water. With tacos hovering around $5 that might be the wisest way to go.

Told the cashier it was our first time and he gave us recommendations along with a choice of free quac or queso. We chose queso. Very good but I loved the salsa best. Cashier recommended Birria and Baja Fish tacos which I got along with Vaca Frita. My friend got shrimp taco and bourbon taco. Everything was delicious and portions were HUGE. We only managed to eat one full taco and took bites of the others. My friend's favorite was the Birria which didn't have enough spice for me but was tasty. Vaca Frita and both seafood tacos had some kick. I loved the Vaca Frita but wished I'd gotten the bourbon taco as well which tasted like barbecue and had corn and cojita cheese. Staff was very friendly and great. I don't usually tip when I order counter service but I did here. Place was clean and patio looked nice but a little too warm out when we went.

Tried this for the first time tonight. The food is amazing. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. It is a walk up style with casual seating. Don't let that fool you the ingredients are fresh and well put together into generous portions. Our new favorite Mexican eatery.

This is one of my favorite places to eat! It's local and the staff are amazing.The Crazy cheese taco is also my go to. They have indoor seating and outdoor seating with a nice patio area. On the weekends and some week days they will have live music on the patio which is a great addition to the atmosphere and ambiance.

Clean, casual restaurant with very friendly staff. Delicious tacos and unique side offerings like Mexican street corn and loaded fries. Lots of seating, including an outdoor patio. I personally like that you pay when you order and they just bring your food out to your table.

WOW, who knew this little hidden gem in St Matthews existed! Really GREAT and filling tacos! Everything was incredible, from the food, to the cute interior, to the speedy service, I'm definitely a fan.Had the Vaca Frita Taco(Flour tortilla, Cuban style shredded beef grilled crispy bell pepper, onions and lime) and the Baja Fish Taco (Flour tortilla, Atlantic cod fish, homemade dressing and Pico de Gallo) along with the Chips and queso. If I had only one request it would be to offer a traditional fish taco, you know on the corn tortilla with cilantro and onion? Your fish is so good it would definitely be a hot seller!

The 3 of us ordered a table full of birria tacos and a pitcher of sangria. We ate on the deck and everything was really good. Only complaint was too much ice in the pitcher. It'd been cheaper to order individual drinks as we only ended up with a full glass per person. But the tacos were some of the best I've had.

Cute little restaurant, staff was super nice. We got our food within minutes, prices were reasonable especially the sides. The chips and salsa was a generous portion for just $2.99. Great place for a quick lunch, will definitely be going back.
