Sweet Layers Bakery

Sweet Layers baked two cakes for my father's 96th birthday. One was chocolate with peanut butter icing and one was German Chocolate. Both cakes were excellent. Very moist, very flavorful, and very pretty. Loved the addition of a Happy Birthday decoration.

Located in the Westport Road Baptist Church Farmers Market, you can find the most scrumptious slices of cake, and other pastries and sweets from Sweet Layer Cakes. Step up to their signature pink booth and get ready to taste some if the best cakes you've ever tried.This family owned business offers cakes by the slice in a variety of flavors sure to please the most discriminating tastebuds. Let me tell you about some of my favorites. The lemon blueberry cake is moist lemon cake with blueberry polka dots, layered with delicious buttercream lemon icing. My favorite, the Hummingbird Cake is even moister with pineapple, banana, cinnamon and pecans with smooth cream cheese icing. Delicious!Other notables are the Strawberry cake, Cinnamon Rolls, Blueberry Crumble, and Chocolate Milkshake Cake to name a few. If you are really lucky, grab a bag of their sweet and salty trail mix.I can't wait for next Saturday's market ti get my sweet fix.
