Best BBQ in the Commonwealth! Pork, chicken, ribs, wings, sausage- all smoked daily in the parking lot for all to see. Very casual interior. It may not look like much, but the food says it all. A wonderful family run establishment that deserves our support.It's cafeteria style with them serving up your choices. It a lickety split process. Typically I am in and out in less than 5 minutes. There really isn't a bad choice to be had!Don't miss the daily home made desserts that will rock your world!

Straight From Texas had really good BBQ. I got carry out and the lady that checked me out was very nice. I ordered the combo with brisket, ribs, pork, and turkey. When she took the lid off of the pork I saw smoked bologna under the same lid and immediately changed my order. I told her to forget the turkey and I would substitute the smoked bologna for that. I had the macaroni & cheese (very good) and the chuck wagon beans (mid) as my sides. They let you pick your sauce and give you the option of onions, pickles and jalapeño. I got some of the sweet and some of the spicy sauce with jalapeño and pickles. My son did the same except he got onions too and instead of the beans he got the tater salad, which he really liked. When I got back to his place with the food I found out she substituted my ribs for the bologna (only reason for no fifth star) but the food was so good it didn't bother me as much as it would have otherwise. The portion sizes were also good and if you enjoy bbq I definitely recommend.

A small place and not busy on this Friday night, which was surprising because the barbecue is solid. It's "Texas barbecue" so I went with the brisket. The cook asked if I minded it being mostly moist, which I definitely did not. It was not nearly as fatty as I expected, turning out to be quite delicious.At the table, I dug into the meal. A good portion of brisket which did need a tiny bit of sauce to bring out the flavor. With a big portion of excellent mac & cheese that was cheesy with firm noodles and a great flavor. Potato salad was good with firm potatoes and a tasty mix.This was a good meal and I enjoyed it muchly. REALLY, REALLY GREAT BBQ!!!!Very Happy with the quality and portions. My wife liked the macaroni and cheese. I love the collard greens, they offer vinegar on them, delicious! I highly recommend this place. Way to go people!

I cannot say enough about the burnt ends, delicious, perfection, overall great. Service was efficient, polite and made it a speedy visit.

Food is awesome! Literally straight from Texas! Owner is from there and knows what's up. You won't find better BBQ than this anywhere! Highly recommend it.

This family business has a hometown feel. Local high school sports team's posters are hanging on the walls. The people greet you with a smile like you are family when you walk in. I asked for a sampler plate of meats and I enjoyed every item. The brisket was tender with a good char on the outside. The chopped pork bbq was tender and tasty. I'll definitely be coming back when I'm in Richmond.

Loved it. Well worth the drive. Brisket was rubbed and smoked well. Great sides. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Best Texas bbq I've had in Kentucky.
