Steak & Stone

The place is very quaint. They seated us promptly and brought us bread while we ordered drinks. I ordered a glass of wine and water and my husband ordered a soft drink. We got the water and soft drink fairly quick, then our server took our order. I ordered the filet with blue cheese along with garlic and herb mashed potatoes and asparagus, my husband ordered the New York strip, loaded baked potato and side salad. I had to ask for my wine after our server came back near our table. We got our entrees fairly quick. But my husband never got his salad. I mentioned it when they brought our food and also to the server, but she looked puzzled. Although my medium filet steak was a bit undercooked and bloody and without the blue cheese, it was hot and tasty. The asparagus was also nice. But the garlic and herb mashed potatoes had zero flavor. My husband's NY strip and loaded baked potato was also very good. My husband never got his salad, so I asked the server to box it to go. She did so, along with comping our meal $10. She was very apologetic. We tipped her 20%. Would we go back? Yes. But would not order the garlic and herb mashed potatoes. The steaks were very good. The ambiance lovely.

Very, Very disappointed!!! When I saw the website and family had talked about how people were raving about this new place, I was excited. We were a family of 13, there celebrating a birthday. 1st Food: Nothing at all to rave about, tea was good, the steak was cooked perfect but NO flavor! And my firm philosophy is a good steak shouldn't have to have sauce! This needed sauce.#2 Service: TERRIBLE! A group and we couldn't seem to have 1 dedicated server! Oh and don't even get me started on the fact that apparently NOBODY in the restaurant was good enough to get the undivided attention that 1 couple got! The one that should have been our server, kept constantly going to this couples table waiting on them and standing around chit chatting. Of course it seemed several of the staff were overly enamored with this couple. So this restaurant definitely gets a F for service and staff! #3: Atmosphere: very loud, very noisy and cramped space.This place is too pricey to get tasteless food, BAD service and a crowded, noisy environment!!

I have been here twice, fist time was better that the second, everyone is supper nice BUT their reservation concept sucks, they loose a lot of money with walkins. They should not schedule everyone at the top of the hour or half hour, no shows make tables sit empty while people wait that are walking in. 2nd, the waitresses need a little training, your appetizers should come out pretty quickly and our waitress took forever to come back for our order. We finished out appetizer way before the food came, there was no bread available, they were out. We were the first ones there when they opened. This should never happen for an upscale place like this. FOOD WAS GOOD BUT NEEDS IMPROVEMENT, with service and food being served not cold.

This place was awesome!! The Loretta was my favorite drink! Cool atmosphere and delicious food. ! My steak was great! Definitely wanna come back and try other stuff!!! The queso with the pretzel was to die for!!

Amazing food and ambience! This little gem is located in the hometown public square. Ample menu items, with rotating chef specials, and some gluten free items. Looking forward to my next visit.

Celebrating a birthday . Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent. It's an old hotel so that was kinda cool .

I've been here twice, both were very good experiences. They have some very delicious and unique cocktails. The steak is more equivalent to a high end steak house. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. It's fancy enough, but you don't feel uncomfortable in a hoodie and jeans either. Try it!

We stopped by around 1230 today for lunch. Service was exceptional. Food was great and reasonably priced. It's located on the square in Leitchfield in a historical building that has been recently renovated. Lots of Italian dishes. Some of the best stone fired pizza you can find. Worth a trip! Will return.

Frog Legs were the special tonight..... We were so excited for a high end restaurant in the community. Our first visit I asked for a Prosecco with a splash of cranberry, the bar person or mixologist came to our table and wanted to know if Prosecco was a vodka? We ordered steak medium rare and they were well done. Our second visit, food was not good, their specialty Mac n cheese cold and dry, salmon no flavor. When seating us in the bar area, we had to go through the servers station which was congested and wait for the servers to place their order and carry out food.I will say the servers were professional and very apologetic on our dinners.Also, we went on a day for specials to come and find out were for evening or Sunday all day, I made the comment they need to advertise that on FB. For the price, we will probably not be back. Again I hate for the community but if you are to charge $$$ the food needs to be great!
