Steak & Bourbon

This spot I would absolutely rate as 100/10 if I could! From the ambiance (nice shelves with books on Meat and Bourbon), the excellent staff (From the hostess, to our waiter, I couldn't have asked for a better experience); Finally the amazing drinks and extremely delectable food choices were the cherry on top.The music was a perfect mix of jazz, and classic pop that sets the tone. This was my birthday dinner, and I don't think I could have went to another spot and had the great experience I just had!

Had incredible service here from Patrick. He went above and beyond and was so patient and kind with our large group this evening. This was a great location for a celebratory dinner and we had a great time with our group. Our food and drinks were delivered in a timely manner and Patrick made great recommendations for food and drinks. The lobster bisque was great as well as the Caesar salad. The au gratin potatoes were to die for along with the Brussels sprouts!

Another great experience at Steak and Bourbon! I think this is my favorite steakhouse in Louisville. Had a great night here with friends! You absolute have to get the lobster bisque. The wedge salad is the so massive, get the half. Our server Patrick was great!

Visited here the other night with some girlfriends for only my 2nd visit. There was live clarinet music which was very nice. I had the pan roasted chicken which was served with roasted potatoes and asparagus. This meal was very tasty, especially with the chicken au jus that it's served with. There was plenty of chicken too... I took half home and had for lunch the next day (ensuring that my waitress included some au jus for me). My friends had the hand pies and steak salad.. they both loved their choices. We had some cocktails and I ordered bread pudding to go. Our waitress was new (Savannah) but was wonderful! Great job!

We went there for my wife's birthday. The server Matt was wonderful! The only bad thing is that they cut the steaks are cut at the downtown location and driven to the Westport location. We waited over an hour for the steaks to arrive. The managers compensated us graciously. They gave us free wine, 3 appetizers, etc. The lobster bisque was delicious. The salads were pretty good. The shrimp scampi were really big and had a good flavor. The cocktail shrimp dish were served on a bed of ice and were quite tasty with the horsey sauce. They serve their bread with an edible candle in the middle. I got the new York strip with a side of shepherd pie. I wish I had ordered the filet over the new York. They have the biggest hand cut fries. The potato au grauten were pretty good. The birthday cake was a white with butter cream icing. Besides the food the staff made the difference. They are going to renovate the Westport location to match the downtown restaurant. Had a good time.

It's seldom that a restaurant clicks all of the buttons for me, but this one did! Decor- upscale and tasteful- check; Service -impeccable - attentive but not bothersome- check; Food - OMG!!! - checkMy husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a special meal last evening. I had the 12-oz ribeye with caramelized Brussels sprouts. Before I get to those, let me mention the circle of rolls that came with a tallow butter candle burning in the center. That butter (and the herbs below it) seeped into those rolls and that literally became a party in my mouth. On the the steak. The steak was melt-in-your mouth tender and cooked to perfection. The caramelized Brussels sprouts were by far the best I have had in Louisville . They were loaded with maple bacon chips, candied pecans and a delicious balsamic dressing. I can't say enough about this dining experience. We will certainly be back. The establishment is located off Westport Rd on Herr Lane and there is plenty of dedicated parking.

Went to Steak and Bourbon for my sister in laws birthday. This place was amazing! Atmosphere When you walk in to this restaurant you'll notice the lights are some what deemed. I love this about restaurants that do this because it sets the atmosphere, tone and vibes! Customer Service The customer service was great. Our waitress at the one was friendly. I have nothing bad to say about it. FoodBut when it comes to the food! Let me tell you. The food I ordered was the Crab burger! But I like to call it. THE CRABBY PATTY! I was so impressed by the presentation and structural integrity of this burger I had to stop and take several pictures of it with different angles! I absolutely loved it!

I've noticed this place ever since Artesano's closed down, but never had the chance to go. The space is much darker but kind of loud with people talking. They did have a live performer playing the sax. So cool! He played a lot of throwbacks.It's the kind of place where you'd need a reservation. It's very busy and it was also tough to find parking right by the building!Once we got seated, my friend ordered the seasonal fall drink that's like a sangria with fall spices. I got a mixed drink with bourbon that was refreshing and light.We shared bread rolls with brown butter. Tiny but I'm assuming they're caloric because no restaurant is whetting your appetite with a 100-calorie snack. LOLFor the food, I tried the Gouda burger and opted for the truffle fries. It was an up charge for the truffle but worth it! The aioli complemented it well and the fries had a perfect crunch. The burger was lackluster. My friend told me she looooovvves the burger so I had to try it. Not the best. For all the things they said were in it, it wasn't that flavorful.My friend got the roasted chicken and added a side of the potatoes. It's one of her favorite dishes.We had to leave since my friend was headed to a haunted house, but she got a free dessert for her bday! Wonderful staff here. Really personable and nice folks.

The experience was great. The ambiance is really nice because of the dim lighting. There was a saxophone player and the tunes were both old and new. The food was cooked to my liking and very hot. The servers were nice and knowledgeable while also being sure to check on us just enough. I would visit again.

Amazing food and fantastic service! The beef and cheese hand pies appetizer may be my favorite thing on the menu. But the Verlasso Salmon is absolutely delicious. My husband loves their steaks and their pork chop. And of course the endless bourbon choices.
