Taken at 5am when the food counter first opened up.
5am breakfast.
Broaster chicken.
Chicken salad, $3.50. The sweet kind; decent but nothing special. The bread was crumbly though. Glad it was cheap; I threw the bread away.
Lunch.
Picture taken when they first open the food counter at 5am.
Just a quick gas station grab-and-go at 5am when nothing's open except McDonald's.
Yes, I've had a bologna, egg, and cheese sandwich here. It's called my name a few times.
5am breakfast.
When there's not much else open at 5am. Courtesy of my generous co-worker.

Store only takes cards if your total is $3+. A large fountain drink and order of potato wedges with tax is like 2.73. They will force you to buy additional in order to use your card. They don't give a rats ass that it's post COVID-19 and the 21st century, as they're stuck in the 20th and too ignorant to care. Plenty other gas/food/etc stores to put up with this level of ignorance!! CYA!!

Star Food Mart is a Marathon gas station at the corner of Westport Road and Murphy Lane. They have really good gas station food for a grab and go bite. They have a couple of ladies that come in real early and make breakfast. They open at 5am and when I go, I get there between 5:05-5:15am before work and they're ready to go. They have all the breakfast staples and the sandwiches are huge and a definite value! They are fast and efficient, which is important when you start your day as early as I do and every minute counts. They have a few tables, but mostly everyone orders to go. The deli counter stays open until after lunchtime and keeps cold deli sandwiches in the refrigerated case after that. When I've gone in after work, they've had sandwiches (pastrami, chicken salad, roast beef, etc.), cheeseburgers, salads, and both deviled and hard boiled eggs. You just ask one of the cashiers to go and get it for you if the deli is closed. For lunch, they have the typical hot sandwiches, hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers, and also Broaster fried chicken. The breakfast is my favorite. The bacon sandwich I get has enough bacon for two sandwiches! The convenience store has all the regular items and they have cheap prices on many of their sodas (under $1). Staff is usually pretty friendly. It's way better than getting food from Speedway (just down the street), Thortons, or other fast food.

Let me start by saying, other than being a little on the raw side the BLT's are pretty good here. Now that being said getting them is a whole different story. The woman that cooks there is well known here where I work as the (BACON NAZI) if you order a sandwich no big deal! If you order two you get a glare! If you order three you get a glare and a lecture about how your supposed to call your order in in advance then your told it might be twenty five to thirty minutes. My last attempt at buying from them was this week when I called to order BLT's at 6:05 AM and asked to order sandwiches she responded with its according to how many you want and after telling her I wanted 5 and wouldn't be there for almost an HOUR she said NO! I don't have enough bacon and I'm not cooking anymore today then hung up on me!!!!So my advise to anyone reading this is to avoid this place like the plague!

Workers in this store are hostile and refuse to comply with the ADA. On two occasions I'd attempted to go into this place with a medical service dog and both times they attempted to "order" us to leave. They were handed a card with the dog's rights (being protected by Federal and Kentucky State Law) and they threw the card back across the counter onto the floor. They kept shouting "I won't serve you" and "no dogs in store" while filming on their cell cameras. One of them followed us around the store shouting the entire time we were there. For a public restaurant, the place is filthy and the food had gnats on it - much of it was spoiled and rancid. Avoid it like the plague - it is beyond comprehension how this food service establishment has been permitted to operate. Where is the health department on this one???
