KAS Gallery is a joke!! Terrible customer service! You CANNOT reach these people to make your appt. I purchased their Groupon and I finally made an appt for 3 months in advance for me and my 2 daughters. Today, on the day of our class, I get a call and they cancel us because someone overbooked the class! So naturally they cancel the people who have had reservations for 3 months?!?! Really?? And why did it take until today to realize they overbooked? Terrible business, DO NOT GO THERE!! Uptown Art is MUCH better!I would rather give them 0 stars!!

Horrible place. I was screwed by them not once, not twice, but three times. I'm still waiting on a refund for services not rendered. The first class four of us signed up for we went to and it was the incorrect painting that we signed up for. We rescheduled and three hours before the class the owner called and said it was full and we couldn't come. I told her it was a makeup class for the first screw up...we never got that back. Finally, me and my BFF had signed up for a class in April and we went and there was no one there at all and we haven't been able to get in touch with them to get a refund. Initially, I did get an email response and they asked for my address so they could mail me a check, but no contact since then. Beware.

AWFUL AWFUL place to try to do business with! Went there this past Monday to do a painting. 16 of us stood outside for quite some time and no one showed to teach the class. Several of us have already had previous cancellations or issues with this business. The fact that they are still offering vouchers through many different deal sites is disheartening. They should be investigated for FRAUD.

Ok so I have been avoiding writing this review because I couldn't decide how many stars I should award. The only reason I am giving two instead of one is the efforts to make a terrible situation right. I do plan to update later hopefully to award more stars. Fingers crossed. So I, like many bought the Groupon for the booze and brushes painting class. I followed the instructions on the groupon and on their web site to sign up for classes online and it would not accept my code. So I sent them an e mail. And I waited. A week. I sent a second e mail and I called and left a message. And I waited again. Another week. I then called again and left a second message. Someone returned my call several hours later and after hearing horror stories from others I feel lucky that I received a return phone call at all. I explained what was going on and the woman said "well you have to book groupon classes over the phone" as if I should have somehow known that. I said ok well that's what I would like to do. So she agreed to book the class for me. I told her which class I wanted to attend (a 6pm class on a Thursday) and she right away tried to tell me I can't use my groupon for this class. All it says on my groupon and on their web site is that it can be used for evening classes Tuesday through Saturday only. Last time I checked 6pm is in the evening. After I pointed this out she agreed to put us in the 6pm class. So jumping ahead to the week of my class I received a reminder e mail stating that I was registered for the 730 class. I had specifically chosen the 6pm class because I have two little kids and getting home after ten on a weeknight makes bed times difficult. So I called and left a message. I e mailed as well to increase my odds of reaching someone. When I hadn't heard back the next day I decided to check out their Facebook page. When I did I was surprised to read lots of posts by unhappy customers that were having similar experiences to my own. I also read several posts that said wine wasn't being served at the classes as it is implied by the groupon is would be. I then went to KAS's website to see if the 6pm class I had originally wanted to take still had openings. I was surprised to see that they had changed the painting that was supposed to be done in the 6pm class to the 730 class. I was mad because I had selected that class specifically because I liked the painting and the time. I then decided to join the other unhappy customers and post on their Facebook page. I expressed my concerns about the class time, the painting and the lack of wine. To my surprise someone from KAS replied to my post within an hour. Asking me to call them. I stated that I had called two hours ago and left my number on the voice mail. She promptly called me back which I appreciated. She said that they switched the paintings because it was popular and someone should have called me to ok moving me to the later class. Which of course no one had. She apologized and wanted to know what she could do to make things right. I told her that the whole process had been so frustrating that I was thinking about asking groupon for a refund. She then offered to let me reschedule the class or come at the 730 time and said that I could also ask groupon for the refund and she would give me another free class because I had had so much trouble. I agreed to come at 730 and was looking forward to the class. I was also told that due to some problems with the caterer they were unable to serve wine but that we were welcome to bring our own. I wasn't too happy about that but I figured since I wasn't going to have to pay for the class it was fine. We went to the class and really had a great time. I am excited to go back for my free class. I am concerned though because several people from KAS stated that they were very overwhelmed with the groupon customers yet they are still running the groupon for sale. That won't help them to provide better customer service! I did have trouble contacting someone to schedule my free class as well but I tried the Facebook approach again since it worked quickly the first time. And what do you know it worked again! My advice for people having similar issues is to go through Facebook to get someone to respond to you and if that doesn't work or you are just too frustrated to continue to try to get what you paid for, contact groupon with your story and they will refund your money. I hope KAS gets their stuff together because the classes are great and tons of fun but their customer service needs work.

I didn't even want to give this review 1 star. This is a terrible business. They have completely different information on their website and Facebook page. I bought a groupon for yoga and the whole thing felt like a scam so I sent a message to groupon and got my money back. When I tried to go to the yoga class the business had moved locations and not even notified anyone who comes to the class. Then I found their 'art studio' and no one there knew anything about where to go for the yoga. It was such a frustrating process that I do not wish on anyone.

Looks like they've taken down their Facebook page. Although for the last two months I tried every possible means of communication with KAS gallery (email, phone and Facebook) I was never able to schedule a class and now am left with an expired groupon. You may have noticed as well that on their website, the calendar function only shows painting classes that are not part of the groupon. (Essentially just one class per week). I hope Groupon will still consider offering a refund given the history of this gallery being so difficult to deal with.

PLEASE do not do business with this place! Several of us bought a Groupon for a class on a Thursday night. We arrived tonight to find over 20 women waiting outside of a dark, locked store. Everyone of us had confirmed reservations via email. Someone from the neighborhood stopped by and told us that they regularly stand groups up but are conveniently open for Trolley Hop nights. I didn't mean to give this place a star; one star is too generous.

I'd give K.A.S. Gallery 0 stars for 0 communication if only it were possible. I purchased a Booze and Brushes painting class for four from Groupon in November 2012. I have been unable to complete my registration through their website. I have tried weekly since December with various browsers. Further, I have left countless phone messages and sent countless emails in every good faith attempt to correct this problem. I contacted Groupon three weeks ago and demanded a refund. Groupon still wishes to contact K.A.S. Gallery and work it out...good luck getting in touch with them. Next, I turn to my credit card company to dispute the charges.Bottom Line: ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATON--DO NOT GO HERE! BUYERS BEWARE AND GO ELSEWHERE!

Last night is a night that a group of girl friends have been waiting for FOUR months to attend after purchasing a Groupon. There were six of us. My friend who purchased the Groupon, had been attempting to book our night of painting and sipping for FOUR months. After dinner we excitedly made our way down Frankfort Avenue...only to find that there were a group of people waiting outside Spirits & Bottega and all the lights being off in the building. NO ONE SHOWED.On the door of the building we found in purple marker written on the glass "Poor Business" and "Don't come here they don't show up" along with a litany of other phrases. In the window, displayed, was the week's schedule...the top of the list being "4/10: The Eiffel Tower."Also in the window, attached to the door, we found a note from the day before (4/9) detailing that a large group of people had waited and no one showed, and they expect compensation in return.I wholeheartedly agree.THIS is not the way to run business. I work at a business and the customer service at K.A.S. is dreadful, if not non-existent.I have heard other stories about Yoga Groupons, the handling of refunds, the arguing and virtually no one ever picking up the phone. And no place to complain because the Facebook page has been taken down, which is a shame because I have beautiful pictures of the purple marker, calendar in the dark window, and the note that people left on 4/9 to post. Our group, along with many others, will be and have been reporting K.A.S. to the Better Business Bureau. And I will be sending my pictures to both the BBB and Groupon. How easy is it to cancel a class when people have provided information and paid in advance? Send an e-mail or a mass text so people don't waste their time, their gas money and their hard earned pay.

We bought a groupon for 4 of us to attend Spirits and Bottega. We attempted to reserve space online the day after purchase and almost all the classes were booked. It took 3 days of leaving messages to get ahold of someone for assistance. we finally got a reservation for a class 3 months in the future. we all made arrangements for babysitters/nights off work, etc. The day before our class we were called by the gallery and told that someone had vandalized the building and the LMPD had requested full access to the building for 2 days so they had to cancel classes. The person we spoke to seemed more interested in us contacting groupon for a refund than rescheduling. So we called the LMPD and asked if there had been a report of vandalism at the business. There was, however the same person called and cancelled the report before officers even arrived at the location.Upon calling and requesting a refund from groupon we learned that this was pretty much a common occurrence and groupon informed us that they would not be doing business with KAS gallery again.Awful business, should be investigated for fraudulent business practices and reported to BBB
