The owners took us in like family. We arrived late at night and everything was ready! The grounds are super southern....gorgeous plants, pool, barns, farm! Sooo relaxing. Each morning a homemade breakfast was made with such love fresh ground clean coffee, waffles, pancakes, fresh local eggs and delicious sausage and bacon. They make the best sausage gravy! Before we went to our bedroom each night Theresa made some kind of delicious cake from scratch...my favorite was the strawberry. Our bed was a four poster with attached bathroom. Softest sheets ever. Loved Netflix binging and hen walking up to smell of bacon and coffee. We will never forget this stay as long as we live. These owners care so much for their guests and truly invite you into their home :) forever grateful Padgett family!

There's a reason why The Barn at Southern Grace is recognized internationally as the Luxury Travel Guides best rustic chic barn wedding location. They are inexpensive all inclusive and they are simply that good .If I could write a five page essay review for this rustic chic The Barn at Southern Grace I would do so. I consider myself a bed-and-breakfast aficionado and have spent decades staying in places all over the world. We are 2 busy executives and wanted a beautiful wedding with little involvement. From perfect food (David is amazing) and decorations to MY taste, this venue and staff does not disappoint. My fiancé and I could have picked any location, anywhere around the world to have our private and professionally executed wedding. We chose The Barn at Southern Grace. We simply have no regrets. We choose to rent the entire house as well but you don't have to do that. Renting the B&B for our family and friends from out of town provided a much more intimate event for us and allowed us use of the entire place with zero interference or interruption. It was like being in our own large fancy house. From the professionalism of the staff, the amazing cooked to order- personal choice- breakfasts to the personalization of everything you could think of that a bride might need, they accommodated and went over the top. There were many changes. They accommodated. From our wedding doubling in size of attendees, to the bridal party forgetting that they needed to leave one car at the house and the owner of this B&B driving me to my hair appointment the day of my wedding-the personal service is top notch. My parents couldn't be there. Theresa doubled as my mom and stayed with us to make sure that every single detail was perfect. We added extra people for breakfast; no problem. We changed the menu at the last moment; no problem. The use of the house that goes with this place is not required but it absolutely made a difference. David and his excerpt cooking are a quiet unsung accolade for this venue. The Barn at Southern Grace is one of the sweetest, coolest places to have a wedding-and it's recognized internationally. If you're looking for a venue you need to stop by and give Theresa and David some of your time. The staff is incredibly responsive to your needs. The package includes food, decorations, photography, the use of the venue, and anything else you need. When I asked for more photography they sent another professional photographer and the pictures are simply stunning. I happen to have a thing for llamas, and we went outside and I was able to feed them and our wedding pictures include them. If you're looking for a special day professional execution with a personal touch this is your location. If I'd have known it could be this easy I'd have done this years ago.

First stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I was leary. Theresa, David and her staff bent over backwards attending to my every request. They aided in surprising my husband with a little something special each day and I consider myself very picky! While I recommend the Southern Grace Suite, all of the rooms are beautiful! Spread over our stay we had breakfast in the room, chocolate covered strawberries, fresh cut flowers, candles and rose petals around the two person jacuzzi, a lunch picnic and a wonderful couples massage! Not to mention we were treated to made-from-scratch lemon cake and the creamiest cheesecake I have ever tasted! Just the breakfasts alone are worth going for! The property is tranquil and somehow got this workaholic to slow down and smell the roses--literally! My husband and I left feeling as if we had made new friends and will definitely be returning!

I had to be in the area for a business meeting and was fortunate to stay here at Southern Grace B&B. Theresa and David are gracious hosts, the bed envelops you in down comfort and breakfast was tasty (I recommend the maple glazed bacon!). The grounds are peaceful and they have an event barn for weddings and events. I hope to get back again soon with my wife so she can enjoy the hospitality and tranquility here.

My boyfriend and I booked this B&B's largest suite for a romantic long weekend getaway at the height of leaf-peeping season. After welcoming us and giving us a brief tour of the house, Theresa took our orders for breakfast the next day, including the time we wanted to eat. I've never experienced that level of personalized service at a B&B before -- usually, you show up for breakfast at a designated time, eat what the host is serving and off you go. But at Southern Grace, we enjoyed the breakfasts we wanted at the times we wanted, no questions asked. The hosts just couldn't be nicer, either. Theresa and David gave us several recommendations for local attractions and dining establishments. We took their advice and enjoyed a gorgeous hike through one of the nearby state parks, checked out great views of the Ohio River and enjoyed a fantastic pizza in a historic old jail. Theresa even helped us with arrangements for a Sunday morning couples massage and was kind enough to extend our checkout time so we could still have breakfast afterward. They are proof positive that Southern hospitality is alive and well. Between the massages, the gourmet breakfasts, the jacuzzi tub, the restful scenery and the warmth of our gracious hosts, my boyfriend and I left completely relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to book our next getaway! I look forward to many return trips in the future.

So glad that we had a chance to stay here during out road trip! It's really hard to find a family friendly B&B since we are traveling with two kids and I prefer not to stay at chain hotels. Not only was there a family suite but they didn't tack on a bunch of extra up charges for the kids and there were no hidden fees. The beds were so very comfortable and the breakfast was amazing and filling. I had the pumpkin waffles with pecans, delish. And fresh eggs are gathered straight from their own chickens. The kids loved petting and feeding the many animals on the property. The hosts were also so friendly an accommodating arranging to have breakfast ready at the time of your choosing. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer to enjoy the area.

While I have not had the pleasure of staying here, I recently contacted them regarding availability for staying on site with my RV (we are Travel RNs). Sadly, they were not able to accommodate our timelines, however they were very prompt returning our phone call and sounded genuinely concerned. They went so far as to provide us with a couple names and numbers of individuals who might be able to assist us. They even followed up to make sure we were cared for. Long story short, they helped solve our housing issue with the utmost care, concern, and professionalism. If this is how they are with total strangers on the phone, one can only imagine how amazing they are in person, with their business and service to you. I just wanted to share an excellent customer service encounter.

Do you have a favorite relative who always has a "kin" feeling, who can tell when you need a dessert and a smile ?Do you have a need for a relaxing vacation and luxury ?Then you want Southern Grace!, because they make your stay feel like your best day at home and at a hotel combined.I've a love of travel, I prefer wonderful quality, and I'm a bit picky. When you have grown up in New Orleans you learn quality and style and hospitality in the cradle.I adore Southern Grace. While gaining incredible reviews from international reviewers who have high industry standards and literally stay in luxury designer hotels to test the quality as a living (I want that kind of job!!) Southern Grace does not need my help, yet I'm reviewing it anyway because many people rely on Yelp or trip advisor. I wake up here and know breakfast will make my day, it will be fantastic. I am a chef, I'm not trying to boast, chefs just come with a little more expectation because it is the way we make our living...with food.My husband and children will love breakfast, now they are the crewe who are critical! As example my crewe of Family have crepes weekly, omlettes, French press coffee, Madeleine's, even oatmeal is stone ground with seasonal fruit. They can get ugly if food is only "decent" My beloveds all end up praising and I know it's genuine because they never hold back. After waking up in cosy soft down comforters and luxury sheets (I love high thread crount sheets, I will not camp without them...really.) you can watch the local wild birds eat breakfast outside by the Windows while you drink coffee and depending on your pick; nosh on a keto omelette, a waffle, or southern biscuits and sausage gravy, a smoothie or oatmeal are on the menu too. My family has tried everything. Repeatedly. Why hasn't southern living magazine picked this place up as a new travel destination for Kentucky? It's in the thick of the bourbon trail...should I want this blessed little corner to get the heavy notice of others? YES I found it, others need this breath of air too.I want to see my favorite Kentucky corner of relaxation to be on the travel map to those who are just discovering Kentucky, you need to start on the right foot when you are finding new things or recovering youth of your childhood.

My husband and I got married here 4 years ago. They had set up an ok ceremony for us but GET YOUR OWN PHOTOGRAPHER. They gave us a CD of pics they took (included in the price of a wedding package). When we moved the cd got misplaced and I have BEGGED this woman for a copy of our wedding pics because it's all we have. She even told me she found a copy of them and I arranged to pay her for them and she still won't send them. I have messages her several times and she won't respond. Update: the owner claimed we "didn't have enough money" for a photographer (rude) which isn't true, the package we chose INCLUDED photos so we thought that it would be enough. Also she never asked my address so I'm not sure how she sent this pics to me. She asked for 30 dollars to find the pictures, I would have paid WHATEVER She asked to have a few pictures from such a special day. Clearly you can tell by the owners response to negative comments if ANYTHING goes wrong she is a peach to deal with. CHOOSE WISELY.
