Somerset Asian Market

Great store to stock up on all your curries and rice and everything Asian. I wish I know what more of it was but the owner is more than happy

Walking into this market yielded a spread of jelly belly items and specialty sodas, which made me wonder if this was what constitutes an Asian market around here. They did have some Asian sodas, I guess. But searching through the modest but packed shop yielded a variety of sauces, noodles, hard to find vegetables, and other items. The eclectic selection included a lot of the major brands you'd see in a bigger such market, but also a few surprises, and a lot of things for special dietary needs.Having found a few things worth buying, I walked to the front and caught a conversation between the owner and a presumed local customer about the difference between a best by date and a sell by date, which is an important distinction in food safety, but he was offering to refund a customer regardless. I'm sure a small market like this has low turnover items now and then, but it's important to take care of the customer. The selection was about as good as anything I've found in Lexington. It's really hard to imagine a store of this sort in this town filling the niche any better.

Loooooove this place! Owners are super nice and very helpful. This is my go-to place for ramen, rice(any noodles really), pot stickers, curry gravy and gyudon. They also have really awesome snacks. It's so nice to NOT have to drive all the way to Lexington anymore, bout time Somerset has a nice Asian store! I'll post some pics I had previously taken of some snacks I've gotten from there.Pics are- Pillows, a corn snack they have, melona melon bars and samanco ice cream sandwich.

Dan is great. Good selections for such a small store. I visit when i am in town. Lots of unusual sodas!

Good Asian stuff food frozen things it was pretty small but it was nice lots of candy and such so I would say 4 in a halph

Always friendly service ~ I can take a recipe in & get help locating the ingredients ~ as well as how to cook it. Many many delicious food & snacks. Thank you for being a great store.

I've been going to the Somerset Asian market over a year now! They have lots of great products and are always getting new products in. The staff is extremely friendly and can help you with just about anything! I love shopping there when I'm in Somerset; it's the closest and best Asian market to me from my location down in Corbin. Be sure to check them out!

It's a wonderful store with lots of food and stacks from Japan and other Asian countries. I lived in Japan for three years and this store did not disappoint. I found my long missed milk tea! Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend!

I love this place! This place has everything your looking for! I really love the ice cream but, I wish they had more selections of ice cream like, power cap,pig bar, lotte watermelon ice cream bar and more. Other than that this place is very cool and has many foods and goods to choose from. The Owner is also very nice and is very helpful!

Variety of Asian items across the entire region: Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Great selection of sauces, spices and condiments. Excellent seafood. And all the candy and snacks you've been looking for. Service is personal and attentive to a customer's needs. Reasonable prices as well. Highly recommended.
