The ambiance is giving sexy bougie vibes. They have an extension drink menu and a very different food menu. They serve tacos, chicken wings, hamburger & salmon. The service was great. It was empty when I arrived at 5:15ish, but picked up, when I left about 8:30ish they had a crowd. This place is pricey and they do not have a happy hour nor any taco Tuesday specials. One of my go-to spots. Food is solid overall, good variety of Mexican dishes and a (somewhat recently added) smattering of Cuban dishes as well. Carnitas are my test of any Mexican restaurant (hard to get that beautiful, seared, crisp exterior with the tender, juicy interior), and they hit the mark more often than not...though I recommend the carnitas burrito for a true treat. Cuban pork steak is another favorite (see the photo). And I'd be remiss not to give due praise to the margaritas...great variety, all delicious (Texas is my personal favorite).Service is four stars plus unto itself. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Go there a few times, and every time you go after will be like dropping in to see family.The space is nice, not overly upscale but nice. It can get a little loud when there's live music. And the back patio is a nice little oasis.

I didn't order alcohol, but my friend got a flight of margaritas and the presentation was outstanding (and super tasty!) I did order the carne asada and was slightly underwhelmed with the meat-- unsure if it was the cut or what, but it wasn't my favorite. However the rest of the meal, including our guacamole, was incredible! And our service was top notch! I'd like to go back and try another dish with chicken and compare, but overall a great place to try!

This location is in the Highlands/Louisville Kentucky. I went here on Mother's Day a place. I've never been here before ...I have to admit the food was absolutely delicious. I got the chicken breast with Jack/pineapple/black beans/plantains. It's right under the fajitas, the service was exemplary. We never had to wait for anything and the food was absolutely delicious. I rarely give a five star review but I found not one thing went wrong. A wonderful Mother's Day lunch so I have to give credit to my son. We all had a great time the chicken was tender the plantains delightful everything had robust flavor and was wonderful. If you're in the Highlands copy this address and stop by for lunch or dinner I highly highly recommend it. There is parking in the back or park across the street at Kroger's. that's just my opinion. Very disappointed, saw on Instagram Sol Aztecas was celebrating National Margarita Day with specials all day. When I got there ask for the specials heard there were none. Why advertise if not offering specials?! What a rip off?! The food was great! The restaurant was extremely loud but expected on a Saturday night. The music was great too.
