Smoking Joe's

Positives: One of the only bars in Richmond to carry Mic Ultra Gold. And the beer prices are very reasonable. The bar staff has always been friendly and helpful, plenty of TV's for sports watching, midweek Karaoke (late start 9 pm) and Bands on Friday and Saturday, I really like the Patio with a door right off the bar. Roomy and comfortable. KY Lotto Keno available to play. Sound System is good. I have been here many times in the past 9 months.Negatives: They live up to their name "SMOKIN Joe's". Smoking inside is very uncool and then blowing it all over non-smokers is even worse. Take it outside to the patio. I don't go more because I smell like cigarettes every time I go. I think their business would boom with smoking moved outside. Bar stools and seats are very worn, you can set in them but have to adjust to get comfortable. I still haven't tried the food because there isn't a cook there in the lunch hours or early afternoon. Overall this place has promise, would have given 4 stars, if it wasn't for the inside smoking.

LOVE this place so much! On the weekends it's always packed. They have great live music and wonderful service. The people there are so nice and friendly. There dance floor is kind of small but it's still fun. They have pool tournaments and karaoke on certain days as well.

Staff is amazing, The bar is expanding to make room for a larger dance floor. Great food Tues-Sat. Stop in for a beer or some good food.

We were looking for a place for a quick meal and cold beverage and tried this place. We just ordered a beverage and quickly drank it due to the fact that it was so Smokey from cigarette smoke we couldn't stand it
