Service is phenomenal every time (been a handful of times). Love all the food we've had here. All are appropriately spiced--be aware that Sichuan food can veer on the spicier side (Szechuan peppers are numbing). Food items can be a bit greasy -- we don't mind too much.My favorite dishes are the green beans, the organic chicken soup (these you have you call ahead to make sure they'll have them in stock), and sliced beef and ox tongue in chili sauce. They have a fairly large menu too -- so many options! Brings friends so you can try more food.

Large menu with numerous choices , clean and welcoming on the inside, very fast and courteous service. Ordered lunch combo meals, portions were more than adequate, although the sauces on both meals were very sweet relative to typical Chinese dishes.

This is the real deal spicy and delicious Chinese food! I wanted to eat everything!!! The crab rangoons were tasty, but no crab meat, mainly cream cheese only but still really good with the sweet dipping sauce. The shredded pork noodle soup was perfect for the non-spicy eaters. The spicy stir fry hot pot was amazing! Do not get it if you're not used to spicy food because it'll burn everything from entrance to exit. There was one negative to this and it was the intestines that I couldn't tolerate. The texture was fine, I felt they needed to be cleaned more because the taste was awful. Only two servers were working when we dined in, but they really did a great job with getting our orders, drinks and food to the table expeditiously; they don't play! The plan is to come back and try more of the authentic dishes.

This restaurant has a high rating for GOOD reason! Best Sichuan place in Louisville, hands down. The dumplings with chili oil are a must order. I am a huge dumplings fan, and I can confidentially say these are the best I've ever had. The thick chili oil sauce on top is packed with flavor (tastes good drizzled on all the other food as well). Everything we had was fantastic--I can't wait to come back and try even more. The staff was super friendly and attentive! The decor paired with the menu made it feel like an authentic Sichuan experience. Don't sleep on this place!

Definitely go here with a group and try a bunch of food together! I went with friends and we all shared a bunch of food and it was very good. I will say the soup was interesting with the egg because it was runny.

So happy we found a new addition to the chinese restaurant scene. Sichuan House on Preston highway just passed the Viet Hoa asian grocery store. We only had 3 people so all we could do was an appetizer and 4 mains. The spices they used on the spicy dishes were lethal. One of my friends was sweating loads !! Every dish was 10/10 tasty. Will have to round up some more people to go try more of the menu ! The Sichuan chef just moved here from Chicago !and having lots of asian people there is a good sign the food is good !

The real deal!! First of all let me say if you want Americanized Chinese food Louisville has dozens and dozens of other options. What you want to order here is off their separate SICHUAN menu. I live in Cincinnati and we have nothing like this and I doubt Louisville does either. For an appetizer I had sliced beef with Ox tongue in chili oil, then went to a Bullfrog dry pot and lastly stewed sheep in hot chili oil. All extra spicy! If you have ever seen the Food Ranger on You Tube this is the type of food you get here. 10 out of 10!

The best Chinese food I've had in louisville. Service was quick, the place was clean, parking out front. We ordered the cucumber salad as an appetizer and I got the yellow beef from the sichuan menu, and I got it extra spicy with a side of fried rice. It was incredible. The portion was also good size where I ate it for two different full meals. Highly, highly recommend Sichuan House!

I don't know anything about their Americanized Chinese food so I can't say anything about that. I will say their Szechuan food was very good. Just like the ones I've had in China. A little disappointed in their mapo tofu as it feels like it's a staple in this cuisine. As most Asian foods are, it is much better family style. They also serve nice portions which is a plus for me.I'd also like to add that it definitely isn't volcanic explosions in the toilet Szechuan spicy but it has enough of a kick to it where you can taste that you wish you bought that bidet when it was on sale for Black Friday.I am very happy that there is more Szechuan food available here in louisville and hope to see it grow.
