1/18/25My brother and mother are sick as a dog all night since they ate this for dinner. My brother had an entree with beef and rice. I'm not sure which one. My mother only soup and an egg roll. They said it tasted great, but getting sick is not worth that.

Lexington has been lacking Dim Sum, but recently Shun Lee added it to their lunch menu. How happy am I! It's a limited menu, but good choices. While there are no traditional rolling carts, you order off the menu. Everything was excellent, and very reasonable. We split the bill, $15. each. I met the chef and told her how glad I am to see Dim Sum in Lexington. There's also a regular lunch nenu. The interior is lovely and there is an outdoor patio. A little too chilly for that today. Do go. I certainly will again.94

Tried this place for takeout. Overall I would say it's a solid 4.5 stars, not quite hitting 5 for me. Called in order, was ready in 15 mins when they said it would be. Staff are friendly enough. Inside also seems like a great dine in atmosphere. I think overall the food is pretty good. It is also significantly more expensive than comparable dishes served around the area. The beef dishes are not totally unreasonable to pay more for as they do seem to use tenderloin - good quality and tender beef which you will not commonly find in Chinese restaurants. I had the black pepper beef and it was pretty good. Nice mix of beef and veggies in a good sauce. I also had the Szechuan chicken, again a nice mix of veggies and decent quality chicken. Like many Szechuan dishes it is a little more on the oily side. Very flavorful though. Chicken lo mein also a solid lo mein dish. Overall, I think it's a pretty good spot. It's definitely at the upper end of the price range for this type of food. If you don't mind paying a little more, you'll probably be satisfied. If cost is more important to you, there's a chance you might feel like you've overpaid depending on what you get.

Lexington is not graced with a ton of great global cuisine, so this new Chinese offering caught my eye. It's embedded amongst some condos and I don't remember what restaurant was here before this one, but it is more upscale than any other Asian restaurant in Lexington that I know of. Having some travel to do, however, I got takeout, which was ready in a timely fashion. The packaging did not hold up well and I lost a bit of food when the bag broke. But thankfully not most of it.Their rendition of ma po tofu was better than basic, with a complex peppery flavor that I couldn't wait to finish. There was a bit of mushrooms and peas in there, but it was mostly tofu, which I like. Ordering spring rolls wasn't a bad idea either as I needed a bit of cabbage and carrots. The menu had several interesting vegetarian options and on the strength of my experience, they might be worthwhile.

I must say first of all I was impressed for the service with this place having a soft opening on February 28, 2024. We stopped here while in Lexington for a Dr visit. While not going as smooth as everyone would like the service was acceptable being newly opened. One reminder for everyone who has issued with Gluten, this is not possible as the kitchen environment is open. However not a concern for us. We started out with Steamed Dumplings pork and chicken, a little soggy but tasted great. The Siu Mai Pork was much better. I initially was going to try the Kung Po but it was not indicated spicy, so I opted for the General Tso's instead and my wife had the Szechuan Sytle chicken. The General Tso was full of flavor with a hint of ginger but did live up to the spicy. The Szechuan chicken has a spicy but sweet flavor that should distinguished it from Hunan or Kung Pao. The thick texture with a nice tone of sweet and tangy flavor made it. We also got the Peking Duck for Two with Scallions and Hosin Sauce to go for later. The Peking Duck was mouth watering tender and not chewy or tough, It was how ever a little oily. All in all a fair experience, that will hopfully contiue to improve.

We went on Easter. Surprised it wasn't busy. Family of five, three teenagers. Host was dressed in a suit, dining room was tastefully decorated. I felt underdressed, but the host was very hospitable and said there was no dress code. They do have outdoor seating, but it was still too early in spring to enjoy. Server was super nice. Offered sparkling water or flatwater. I had questions about the menu, so she brought out Miss Lee, the visionary behind the restaurant. Very kind and answered all my menu questions. We ordered egg rolls, soup, bang, bang, shrimp, and our entrées. The kids all had beef or chicken fried rice. My husband got the chicken, lettuce, wraps, and I got the Szechuan chicken. everything is made from scratch! Incredible quality! Wonderful flavor! HUGE portions. I wouldn't say this is fine dining, but very tasteful. They do carry out. A full bar. Before we found this place, I was frustrated that there wasn't an authentic Chinese restaurant, but voilà! This place checks all the boxes.

We enjoyed an early dinner , the service was outstanding and the meal was served promptly and very hot! I ordered 2 appetizers, steamed pork dumplings and scallion pancakes. They were both tasty and portions were good sized. I also ordered jasmine tea and it was fragrant and tasted great!

The service was slow. The server had virtually no sense of humor. The chicken lettuce wraps were way too sweet. Sent those back. But charged for them.To try to make up for the wraps, requested wonton soup. It was good. No charge for the soup.Had a bottle of wine.Bill was $184 which included tip.We won't be back.

So delicious. I hope this place makes it. So many restaurants have failed in this spot. The beef and broccoli and Mongolian beef are the best I have ever had. So flavorful and tender!
