I recently tried out Shreeji Indian Restaurant in Louisville and had a great experience. I went with the Punjabi Thali, which was a perfect choice. It came with a variety of dishes, each one packed with flavor. The dal was rich and hearty, the veggies were spiced just right, and the naan was soft and fresh.I also got the Pani Puri, which was a fun, quick snack. The puris were crispy, and the pani had that perfect tangy kick. It really hit the spot.To drink, I had a glass of sugarcane juice, which was super refreshing, especially on a warm day. It was just sweet enough without being overpowering. I also couldn't resist trying the Falooda, which was a great dessert-drink combo. It was creamy, sweet, and full of delicious toppings. The service was fast and friendly, which I really appreciated. Overall, Shreeji is a solid spot if you're in the mood for some tasty Indian food. I'll definitely be going back to try more!

Went again tonight with a friend to introduce them to some new Indian foods. I got Pav Bhaji Dosa to try a different type of dosa, and Vada (indian donuts) to share with my friend. I got my dosa a 4 out of 6 spice scale and liked it, might even go for a 5 next time. My friend got vegetable fried rice at a 1 lowest spice scale and said it was too spicy for him, even though he's had North indian food in Lexington that wasn't too spicy for him. So I guess be careful here if you're one to get a 1 spice level at other Indian places. He liked the Vada though and the atmosphere, decorations on the wall. They were good about getting the food out and getting us to go boxes when we asked. They were out of milkshakes but I did try the Rose Lassi to go. Everything was very good!

First time here. Nice decorations and friendly staff. Very pleasant. I stated with a Mango Lassi and vegetable Samosas. They were so good. Good spice and very filling! For my meal I got the Panner Tikka Masala and some onion Paratha and Paneer Paratha. Everything was so delicious! Will definitely be returning!

First you order and pay at the counter, then you sit. It's a no nonsense place and I assume that's why it's affordable. This place serves delicious vegetarian dishes only...I ordered the pani puri and the malai kofta. I wish I brought a friend because they also served dosa! I was at a loss for a bit because of the lack of utensils. I was too shy to ask. Thank goodness my kofta came with a spoon. The restaurant felt like a true takeout place with not many places to sit. It may have been an old Subway shop...it had that vibe. The one thing that made me excited about eating here is the Rose lassi! Not many places have that and I have been in search for this for a long time.

I can't get enough of the food here. I really appreciate the friendly owners, who always explain the dishes and answer any questions. I can't wait to try more dishes from this eatery.

Before I begin. If you're not on the spicy side, while placing your order, and they ask how spicy, please say"1", unless you want for your esophagus to feel like it's on fuego. The food was great. They give you plenty. You have to order at the counter. The downside, if you order several things, they call your number when it is complete but you won't get it all at one time. You will get up to get one dish then get back up when the other dish is complete. I really enjoyed the place, I feel that it could be a little cleaner but I would go back.

This is a South Indian vegetarian spot. It offers little in the way of service or ambiance, with styrofoam cups at a water cooler, and a bus your own table approach. The food is correspondingly cheap, but I do sometimes wish that purveyors of this sort of cuisine would charge a little more and offer a little more service, which in my extensive experience they generally do not. This place had a large menu with a good Indo-Chinese selection, as well as a variety of fried goodies and crepes. My Mysore Masala Dosa had spices crisped into it and hardly needed the ample chutneys on the side. I was offered the choice of gravy or not for my Veg Manchurian. Even without, it was still pretty saucy and plenty delicious. I could have easily ordered twenty other things and been happy as well, judging by the mouthwatering plates others eating there received. The clientele was a mix of Indians and Americans, some veterans like myself but some rather amusingly trying a new thing. For anyone uninitiated, I do recommend getting a thali, which is like a sampler platter to spread yourself around. Then again, you can really order just about anything and expect that it will be satisfying.

The absolute BEST Indian food in town! We ordered this for a staff lunch and got WAY to much food, but the quality and value was unparalleled. Freshly made to order, delicious, thoughtfully packed and a few extra surprises makes them my TOP GO TO for Indian food in town. And I love that it is female owned!Even in my very short wait time to collect this large ordered, I loved the festive vibes making me feel like I was on the colorful streets of India! YES. YES. YES. Go here NOW!!!
