Shireman's Farm Market

I've driven by Shireman's many, many times without stopping, but needing some fall decorative mums for the yard, we found a great selection here! Alongside the pumpkins, corn stalks and hay bales, that would complete the look at excellent prices.Service was friendly and quick. I wasn't sure if they only accepted cash, but cards are welcome as well. Parking was a breeze as well.I'll have to come back in the spring as I know they have a ton of plants that I'm looking forward to checking out!

I've been shopping for plants and picking up produce at Shireman's for years. I have always had good and friendly service. They are located on Charlestown Road a few doors down from Taco Bell. They always have well cared for plants, an abundant selection, and in the past, fresh produce. The only reason I say 'in the past' referring to their produce, is that they will not be opening the produce market inside this year so they can remodel in order to have a deli ready for the next season. A simple deli would be a great addition to the produce market, especially in this corridor of Charlestown Road. Years ago Israel (of Israel's Delicias de Mexico and the former La Rosita) had a taco stand at Shireman's.They have a really good selection of plants. They have plenty of annuals, herbs, vegetable starts and plants, ferns, hanging baskets and more. They have really good prices too. I bought two ferns today for $14.99 each. These ferns were full and had long fronds. I've seen and bought similar ones for double that price. They had Boston, Kimberly, and macho ferns. All their plants are in really good condition and priced right. It's a shame that they won't have produce this year, but hopefully some patience will pay off when the deli comes next season.
