Shift Restaurant And Bar

I have been here on 5 different occasions and it's mediocre at best. 1 time the food was really good but the other 4 times the food was either okay or less than stellar. The price is far too high for the product. I see zero reason to go here over Randy's or lil Charlie's. Everything at Randy's is superior and lil Charlie's burgers and steaks are better. The food reminds me of like an Applebees, which is not a compliment. Cannolis were okay but nothing special.

So decided to stop here for lunch yesterday and we went in the parking lot and there were no parking spaces. So we decided to go do something else and come back. So we came back about 12:30 and the parking lot was still full and it looks like that was all people at the golf course because when we went in there were only three tables seated and probably 6 dirty tables with dishes stacked on them. We were behind a couple of people at the host stand and she went to seat them and said she would be back and then when she came back she said hang on I've got to go do something else so we finally did get seated after a good wait at the host stand.She was going to seat us at a high top and my friend just had hip surgery and couldn't sit at a high top so that was my fault for not saying something up front because then she had to clean off one of those dirty tables to get us a seat.I ordered a smoked Cherry old fashioned and my friend had not decided what she wanted yet so I got mine first while she was thinking about getting one. So I took a drink of it and she took a drink of mine and went ahead and ordered one. I was not too impressed with it it was very Cherry forward and not really boozy but when she got hers it was a different animal hers was boozy like it should be so there was some inconsistency there.Our waitress was nice enough but it appeared that there was not enough help in the restaurant and that may have been what led to all the dirty tables she seemed to be doing a little bit of everything so she wasn't overly attentive to our table. I ordered the carne asada fries and my friend ordered the southwest salad. My friend loved her salad and my fries were fine but we're not real hot and by the time you got to the bottom they were all soggy. This is a newly opened place so maybe they will get better with time and then we will try them again. We will follow the reviews and see what happens.

"Amazing!" really sums up this chef-staffed ‍ and friendly restaurant. If a "10 stars rating" was an option, I'd easily click it No short-order cook or bad commercial-tasting food here. Menu offers good variety. Servers are great too; friendly, quick to top off your drinks while dining! The bar area offers a nice ambiance. Prices are very reasonable all-around. *Located just off I-74, @ Rt 46 intersection, entry is from Walnut Ave. +The picturesque windows open up the dining/drinking areas to beautiful views of the adjoining Hillcrest golf course and a deck for outside meals/drinks. --When you stop in, enjoy a relaxing refreshing time, and come away happily satisfied 'til you return.

Experience with the owner during dinner was awful. Food wasn't great and he was a jerk. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant.

Great time last night, a comedy show in a restaurant. Light on attendance, but food and drinks were well received Southern chicken salad, fried pickles yummy. Great staff

Got the BLT and ordered extra bacon. The bread was soft but the bacon was limp and I never got my extra bacon that I paid for. They put garlic aioli on it. I asked if they could put Mayo on it and I was told no substitutions. I could understand no substitutions for like fries, but how hard is it to sub out garlic aioli for mayo? My tomatos were mangled like they didn't know how to cut a tomato properly and my lettuce was wilted. Server was friendly but I didn't ask for another drink and was given another anyways that I was charged for. Ambiance was lacking, I could hear others talking and loud talking coming from the kitchen, they had no music to drown out the noise... probably won't be back

This 2nd location struggled a bit when they first opened. Staff shortage was biggest issue. Have stayed with them and last night was the best night for us. More wait staff & kitchen was staffed. Food is always great. Last night was Shift burger and fish sandwich. Both were great. Love sitting on the deck overlooking the golf course. Great job Shift!!

Three couples had supper at Batesville location. Everyone thought the food was fantastic. Service was outstanding. Chicken and Waffles, Pork Chops, Diablo Burger, Shift Burger, and mini tacos. All were super good.
