Shell's Ice Cream & Grill

Shell's is a staple in Vevay, Indiana. Dawn, the owner, genuinely cares about her customers and it shows in the quality of the food. I had the jumbo breaded pork tenderloin and onion rings. This sandwich was massive but it was so good I had to eat the entire thing. The onion rings had great crunch and the flavor was on point. Cannot recommend this establishment enough. If you are ever passing through Vevay or are attending the Swiss Wine Festival, make sure to stop in. You won't be disappointed!

We had to try shells just to say we did. This was the fourth or fifth time trying to eat here and we finally succeeded. I got the foot long chili cheese dog and a thing of loaded crinkle cut french fries. They had cheese and bacon on top. My husband got a burger.The best thing we got was my loaded crinkle cut fries. They were super hot and super crunchy. The footlong dog was ok, you could tell it had been sitting in boiling water for a while. And my husband asked for a plain double bacon cheeseburger and it came with everything on it.Overall an ok place that's local and better than fast food.

Ice cream was great, Hospitable staff and was entertaining watching the process. Clean and brightly decorated made it a fun stop for a treat!

I like to try small mom and pop places when I can, so when I was working in town had to seing through and give it a shot.. got a double burger combo with fries and a coke.. the amount of crinkle fries i got was HUGE.. made me laugh you order a large at some places and you get maybe half the box, but back to it.. the butber was exactly what i was wanting. It was lolr a good old bar cheeseburger without the questions of why are you at a bar at noon...went back through and got maybe the 3rd best milkshake i have ever had in my 40 years .. will definitely find a reason to head back that way...

First time stopping by and we both got small Hurricanes. They were overflowing from the cup. Way better than Dairy Queen.

50's deco is done up right. Reasonably price and delicious food. We had the Cheese hoagie and chicken wrap with cheese fries. Everything done up well. Also don't forget to get ice cream in one of the specialty dipped cones

Stopped here for lunch after a great trip to the Cardinal Quilts shop! Yummy hurricanes! Fabulous Frisco Melt And very helpful staff to help us decide! A new must for Vevay!!! We were traveling with two picky tweens...they LOVED it!!

Small town, more personable version of Dairy Queen. Decor is 50s pop culture in a bright and clean dining area. Employees are attentive and quick with order taking and refills. Food is standard fare for this type of restaurant. Plenty of seating and parking. What sets Shell's apart from the national chain is their milkshakes! Must try the peanut butter shake.

Love the ice cream and banana split. The owner is always happy to help and staff is awesome!

I always like coming here....on this particular occasion my 18 yr old son and I was spending some time together. He ordered the double bacon cheeseburger and a mint Oreo hurricane, I ordered the 4 pce buffalo basket with a receese pieces hurricane. My basket came w strips fries and buttered toast. My hurricane was a medium...Big mistake! I was miserable going home. I had to eat it...I mean, who throws away ice cream !?P.s. the ambiance will keep u busy
