We visited this place tonight for a wedding reception. It was very nice on the inside. It was spacious enough for the event they were having. It was well lit, and very pretty. I liked all the trees they had outside lit up as well and it was a nice environment.

I attended an event on Friday at this little spot in Anchorage. I've driven past this beautiful building many times and didn't realize they hosted events. The set up and decor was amazing and the food...wow! We had a bbq them with the most amazing Mac and cheese around! The service was great! The event I attend, was set up for about maybe 80-100 people. Very nice location. Be sure to park in lot next to building not in front of bank that is located next door.

Was a very pleasant surprise. Attended a wedding reception and the atmosphere was very quaint and intimate. The space was just right for dinner and dancing. The location is perfect right in Anchorage.

WOW!!!! Kimberly with Shall We Dance has been AMAZING!!! We knew we wanted to take lessons before our wedding since my Groom generally refuses to dance and has always insisted he has 2 left feet. We met with Kimberley for our free first lesson and decided to sign up for the 5 lesson package. Kim did a great job of teaching us some fundamentals that we could build on with each lesson. She did a great job breaking down the moves for us and making it easy for us to pick up the moves quickly. After practicing different steps and turns independently, she came up with a beautifully choreographed routine for us to perform with our song... IT TURNED OUT SPECTACULARLY!! Even my groom was excited about it and said he would 10/10 do more dance lessons with me even after the wedding! Not only did she help us feel more comfortable on the dance floor together, but she helped to make our First Dance one of our favorite memories of the whole night - and our guests said the same!!!

I came to Shall We Dance thanks to a Groupon for 2 private dance lessons in preparation for my upcoming wedding. I was pretty nervous, because I took a couple dance lessons in the past (like.. more than 10 yrs ago, but it stuck with me!) and I couldn't keep up. I gotta say this was not the case here! We learned the rumba, which is simple. I didn't want to learn anything over the top theatrical, just something a step above the awkward prom-sway. We did learn the dance within 2 lessons, but we will definitely have to have another lesson to feel comfortable.Which leads me to a tip- if you're gonna try the place out, make the most out of what Groupon has available. I should have definitely bought more than 2 lessons, because the price difference is huge (almost 90%). And while I don't really want to pay for the extra lesson, it's going to be necessary. Not to say that I didn't enjoy them, because I did. Me and my fiance had a blast, and Cody, our instructor, was wonderful. He always kept the mood light, and the pace at just the right level for us. We had so much fun, actually, that we are planning on coming back for the group lessons. You can take lessons on different dance styles a couple nights a week for $75 a couple monthly, which isn't a bad deal.

This place was exactly what me and my husband needed to prepare for the first dance at our wedding. It is a large dance studio with instructors that seem passionate about dance and seem to enjoy teaching. We were lucky enough to be able to purchase lessons on groupon otherwise they are pretty expensive.

I do NOT recommend this establishment. Kimberly canceled my event two weeks prior. Tickets were sold out and I had people coming in from all over the country. She canceled because of her religious views. She called me cursed and quoted bible versus. It's my guess she racist as well. This place is unprofessional and I'm still waiting for my $600 refund. If you stand for human equality and being kind to others, I wouldn't go here.

We booked Shall We Dance for our wedding reception in mid-June. The place is small but charming. I was excited to dance the night away but the owner decided to turn the air conditioner off during our reception. She was very rude to my family. The wedding party and guests were sweating and uncomfortable. Many guests left early due to the heat INSIDE of the venue. An outdoor reception with fans would have been better than Shall We Dance. It was very disappointing.
