Senor Iguanas

Senor Iguana's in Sellersburg is located where El Catrin was for many years!I went there with one item in mind...The Cobb salad. El Catrin had a dish called Fronterra Cobb salad. El Catrin was associated with Sleepy Rooster in New Albany and they also had a Fronterra Cobb salad. I digress...Senor Iguana's has a similar salad called Sonora Cobb. It was delicious!!My wife had a traditional Taco Salad. She reported that it was very tasty. We had great service by several team members. We got there late afternoon/early evening and I think the servers must have changed. The place felt very warm with friendly staff. The doors to the outside patio area were open on a pleasant afternoon in the 'Burg.

If you're still going to el nopal down the street, you are totally doing it wrong. This place is easily better from a pricing standpoint but also the food quality Here I like to get the combo with burritos. It comes with a side of beans and rice. The burritos can be customized for fillings and to be topped with sauce, I got red sauce and queso. The good quality is very good! The service here is friendly and efficient. The beer selection is also very good and priced fairly. Overall I'm really not sure why you would go to el nopal anymore when this place is right next to it. The quality of food, price, and service is so much better

Wife and I arrived at about 2:15pm. Irving was our friendly, helpful server. Wife ordered a spicy steak naked burrito bowl. She wondered if there was any steak in it while she was mixing it up. Apparently, the steak is like ground up. Wife gives bowl an OK, 3 stars. My Chimichanga was a little different in flavor than I am used to at the Jeffersonville location. I wouldn't order it again here. The beans, rice and other fixins were fine. I'm going with OK today. After I paid I found out there is a military discount and senior discount, but not sure of the age. The friendly manager said she would take care of it for me, but I said that is okay. I am just passing the info on for others.

Absolutely fantastic! I was sorry to hear of the demise of El Catrin, but this place is just as good, if not better. Do yourself a favor and go.

We were 8 family members looking for something different before Thanksgiving. So glad we found this 5 Star authentic restaurant. We will be back!

Lindsay was the best!!!! First time there at Señor Iguanas and I loved the menu so much to choose from in a good way. Going back next week with hubby!!!!
