The combo of Seltzer Club and Bourbon on Rye is exactly what Lexington needed. The food is outstanding and the atmosphere makes for the perfect date night. Recommend their Rueben sliders and their homemade burgoo

Without a doubt, one of the best cocktail lounges in downtown Lexington. Small, roughly 25 seat bar with a drink menu to die for... It has a 20's prohibition speak easy feel to it. Very intimate. Would make a great date-night stop. Order the AppleJack, sit back and relax...

The unassuming entrance of this beautiful building leads into an intimate little bar with the most divine custom crafted and unique cocktails. A lovely wood bar, gold colored tin ceiling with paddle fans, dark red printed wallpaper and an old timey tile floor give it a 1920's vibe. Love it! I had two cocktails, a Southern Peach (Elijah Craig, fresh peach shrub, grenadine and lemon) and a Coffee (John) Old Fashioned (Elijah Craig locally roasted cold brew coffee and black walnut bitters, both expertly crafted by the very amiable Chris, the barman. The cocktails are well designed and scratch made. You'll want to try each one on the menu. James, the owner, told me he plans to expand and add food. Can't wait to see what he does next.

My husband and I were looking for some place downtown to grab a drink or two before our anniversary dinner a few weeks ago, and we stumbled upon Seltzer Club. So glad we found this place! I had heard that they had a centrifuge to make different mixes or twists on liquor so my biochemistry background was intrigued...Chris was our bartender and shared his background and the background of the bar. I had a Butter Old Fashioned and Mai Thai, and my husband had a Bourbon Mule and Smokey Bourbon Sour. I also got a taste of the Java Wine Spritzer which would make the perfect brunch or after work drink! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu and Chris' housemade infusions are superb. Will definitely be back!

I was a big fan of the vibe and atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Great selection of cocktails and spirits. There was a group of four of us and we sat at the bar. It was a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. We enjoyed a nice conversation with the bartender while he made us our drinks. The reason why I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the bartender was very sloppy. He spilled a lot and wasn't the best with making the pours into the glasses. My friend and I both ordered New York Sours. When he was making our drinks, he measured incorrectly and the level was unequal between the two glasses. He dumped them back and forth between the two glasses three times and spilled a bit of our drinks while doing it. Also, the wine float wasn't exactly what you would expect from a bar of this caliber. It was pretty much just mixed into the drink instead of being a float on top. I'm not sure if it was because he was inexperienced or if he was just trying to show off and became sloppy. The drinks were definitely delicious tho.I would definitely return to give it another try when I am in town.

I tend to not like most mixed drinks, but the java wine spritzer here is out of this world. Also a big fan of the bartender Chris, he's fun to talk to and makes ya feel good about treating yourself to another drink

Dang this place is great. The best part is all the syrups and mixins are house made and superb. The drinks are not overly sweet but very flavorful. I had a butter old fashioned and a mule with house made ginger beer which made all the difference. The bartenders are very friendly and knowledgeable too. The prices are reasonable and not more than a cocktail anywhere else but the quality is much higher. The whole atmosphere was just spot on and seltzer club was a really special start to our evening. We will definitely be back!

We stumbled upon this place while looking for a place to hang out while we were in town for the evening. They have a ton of custom liquor flavors (the turmeric cocktail and buttered old fashioned were amazing). The flavor mixes reminded me of Aviary in Chicago...but without the stuffy atmosphere. The bartenders were great; I believe Cayce was the one who made our drinks that evening, and she was awesome. I heard a rumor that they were going to expand, and may one day have a food menu as well. I'm so excited to find this place, and, if I return to Lexington, I plan on coming back.

Chris, a proprietor, is hands down the best cocktail-smith in town. If you like neutral spirits, he has got you covered. Like bourbon? Get ready for the best old fashioned in your life. Want to go edgy with a wine and spirit combination? Shouldn't work...but it does!! Do yourself a favor (and your liver a disservice) and go try anything on the menu. If you are adventurous and he has the time, he might make you something special off of it. Either way, you are in for a treat.
