Eat! Out! Side! Selena's is known for delicious food, the best service and their outdoor space! Now if you can't enjoy their outdoor dining fear not! You will 100% not be dissatisfied in their amazing meals. This time I went for the blackened salmon which came with two sides - I picked asparagus and red beans & rice. It was flavorful, fresh, and I had enough to take some home!Additionally, our server was incredibly diligent about checking in on us and making sure our party felt welcomed! Selena's has been able to stay around for so long for good reason!

A Louisville institution...it has been on my radar no for so so long and I finally, FINALLY, got to experience a meal here. It did not disappoint! My first visit here was for brunch and it was delightful. My guy got what turned out to be a massive plate of gumbo and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a more traditional breakfast-y thing -- a creole omelet I believe -- and at the time it was exactly what I wanted. We shared an order of beignets: YUM. Breakfast cocktails were tasty, service was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming an inviting. I was eager to make a return visit.I got that chance a while later to get dinner here with my friends one night. The dinner was less memorable food-wise. This might be because the server spilled an entirely full glass of ice water all over my friend...who to her credit took it very much in stride and handled it much much better than I would have. But she spent the rest of the meal sitting in wet clothes...and not a single item on their bill was comped or discounted. The server wasn't particularly apologetic or helpful in cleaning it up...I had to go get more napkins to help ourselves. For my meal, I was on quite a tight budget at the time of this visit, so I settled on a stuffed mushroom appetizer and a small salad. It was tasty and more than enough. So there was a lot of good, some meh, and I am nearly certain I will be back at some point and I am sure the food will be great.

The sweetest service, yummy food and ambiance! I would highly recommend this place. They serve breakfast later and that hashbrown cheesy goodness is the stuff!

This was a lovely little Cajun restaurant just outside of Louisville! Service was good, but the food was even better. I had the shrimp manale, and the chef came and told us the sauce was his grandmothers old recipe. Overall, delicious!

We chose Selena's to meet our friends and celebrate our Wedding Anniversaries together. We could not have chosen a better place. We were seated right away in the inside dining area as the outside temps were quite high. We started out with Bloody Marys. I had to try the Gumbo and it was excellent. I got the Jeremy Platter and the seafood was melt in your mouth delicious. My wife ordered the Fish & Chips. The fish was fresh, tender and lightly breaded. Our service by Brian was exceptional and we had a great time in a very relaxing atmosphere. We want to go back when the weather cools and sit outside.

So when you drive past the place, it's not what you expect. It looks like a whole in the wall but it is actually really nice on the inside. Very warm and inviting. When i first got there, I was greeted by 3 different people to make sure I was taken care of. I made reservations so was seated immediately. It was went too crowded when I got there at 11:30 but it was a steady flow of people coming. I would suggest making reservations if possible. Our server Denise was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. We ordered the beignets for the appetizer, mimosas, creole omelet with hash brown casserole, and the omelet special with cheese grits. You get 4 beignets with the app and they were super good. I had to eat both of my share. I tried not to but couldn't help it. Both omelets were delicious. I was very surprised. The creole sauce on the creole omelet was chunky but had really good flavor. The hashbrown casserole was so good it had corn flaked on top which gave it a crunch. It did not overpower the flavor of it. The cheese grits didn't taste like anything. I actually sent those back and got the casserole instead. The menu isn't exhaustive but everything seems to be good there. You can't go wrong except for the grits.

We all got something different. I had the spinach salad and corn flake fish fingers, my husband and another had surf and turf, the redfish, redbeans and seafood. It was all fantastic but the service from Denise was outstanding. Best service I have had in a long time. Will definitely be back soon.

I can help yoWe had a fantastic experience at this restaurant for my birthday. The blackened red fish with manale sauce was absolutely delicious. Everyone in my family enjoyed their meals as well. I highly recommend this place. The service was excellent, especially considering we were with my 3, 4, and 6-year-old kids. The staff was very kind and accommodating. We dined outside next to a fish pond with Coy fish, and the staff even provided food for the kids to feed the fish.

Food was average and overpriced, but the service and atmosphere was above average. Nothing that I really want to complain about, but also can't really recommend it as being a place that I want to go back to with so many options in Louisville.
