Scenic View Restaurant

My wife and I enjoyed our visit here in late October. On a sunny Sunday morning, we enjoyed eating outdoors with the great view and crips fall weather. Service was attentive and food was tasty and brought out quickly. The Egg Sandwich with bacon was good and the Biscuits & Gravy was as well.

Took my husband here for a surprise lunch. The name of the restaurant says it all - gorgeous lake views. Service and food was excellent. My husband enjoyed the veggie wrap and I had the fish tacos. The fried pickles were delicious as well. Will return soon!

I've driven by here hundreds of times and the sign next to the road has never changed. You cannot see the restaurant from the road because it sits up so much higher. On this day, we were heading to Charles Deam Wilderness to do some backpacking and wanted a nice meal before we hit the road. This was it, and so much more than we were expecting. A full bar for one! And, since it was Sunday morning we could get breakfast or lunch. My friend got the biscuits and gravy and I opted for the cheeseburger and fries. The menu was fairly extensive, so I'm looking forward to trying out some other things. The staff was super friendly and the view was beautiful.

We went for brunch on a Sunday morning. It was a beautiful day and we sat outside. The ambience is fabulous with a view of the reservoir. The food was excellent. Tue wait staff was pleasant and attentive.However, the kitchen was very, very slow. It detracted from our enjoyment. Be sure you have extra time if dining here.

Great place with super service and great Bloody Mary.Super busy after an IU game but everyone there works super hard and we're surprisingly fast after we were seated.Called the Scenic View for a reason

Service was good, scenic view was good, its location and view is nice (right in a ridge near Bloomington), and their food is fine. We definitely enjoyed our outing here. My step mom led me astray saying that their Bloody Mary's are out of this world, but I only found it to be mediocre. It just had some very basic celery sticks and an olive or two, and it just didn't seem to be a good flavor. I personally wanted it spicier (and I rarely ever want anything spicier) and yet my step mom wanted it less spicy so we decided to not ask for any adjustments and leave it alone. We came for breakfast food and everyone left satisfied. This is definitely a place I would like to stop by again to try out their other fare since others seem to have favorable opinions of the place.

Only go here if you are willing to wait 2 hours for your appetizer. Our waiter was not awake, clearly has not showered in days and was wearing extremely dirty clothes. He then completely forgot our existence. Out of concern of our blood sugar level and the cleanness of the food, our party have to leave.This experience has happened more than once. I have to leave a review to remind myself why I will never go back to this place despite the great views and decent food choices. The owner of restaurant, if you see this, stop hiring your bros as waiters or fire the person who kept hiring awful awful waiters.

Sara seated us at a great table with a view. She gave excellent service, and we will definitely come again. The food was high quality, contemporary, and delicious. The B&G were like no other, the gravy is chunky, not boring, with a kick! The poached eggs on the Benny were perfect. the bottle service for Mimosas is reasonably priced and the sparkling wine is crisp. The half price $ Bloody Mary was the best I have tasted. Definitely recommend this place!

I really like this restaurant. I love sitting outside with a view of the lake. Food is good and reasonably priced.

An absolute gem. Fantastic food (perfectly cooked eggs - thanks Chef!), tremendous customer service and the view is the cherry on top. We can't wait to come back soon for another delicious meal. Recommend: Pancakes, Eggs Benny, Bacon Bloody Mary.
