This restaurant is really a hidden gem! The food is outstanding along with the service. I tried the carne asada, Chile relleno and enchildas and all was so delicious. Will definitely be coming back in the future!! Hands down best Mexican restaurant in the area.

Apparently my first review of this restaurant wasn't good enough. So let me start by saying Decent fajita, great nachos. Minus a star because the wait. Minus two stars because I was expecting REAL Mexican food, because of reccomendation, but when i got there sadly all Mexican/American food. The Carne Asada was great but had way to much salt, and I am health concious. In general No Mole, No sopes, No horchata, No hultacoche, No Alambres and No cactus. You get what the name says which is sad. Also No pulque for drinkers. It does seem like a decent place for happy hour. The margaritas looked really good. But dont let other reviews fool you into thinking this place has legitimate border food. Also this place makes their chips and salsa fresh and you can just drop in and get some to go which I did like.

We went on a Saturday about 11:30 and were seated immediately. Our waitress was good. To our surprise we were allowed to pick items off the lunch special even though it was the weekend. I picked the taco salad. It was a sufficient size to fill me up. I went with the ground beef. Husband picked ground beef burrito and rice and beans. The salsa was fresh and the chips were crisp. Nice stop off the freeway just bit.

Not only does this restaurant have a homie appeal but it is the epitome of a small family-owned restaurant. Authentic food homemade. This is definitely the best Mexican restaurant I have eaten at in a very long time. I recommend this restaurant to anybody that is in Scottsburg or stopping through Scottsburg.
