Bobbie was great to deal with over the phone .. our Swine was ours and not someone else's or a less amount of weight that I feel happened at a meat locker near me yes I said it I'm certain another facility takes some of peoples poundage off the top .. The price was good to prepare our pig and even though it's a 1 1/2 drive from home they will do all of ours in the future. They have a clean store front with plenty of other items to purchase 5 Star experience...

November 2020: This review concerns deer processing. First kudo's to have the great business sense to be open on Sunday during deer season. I ended up at Sander because everyplace else was closed. Arrived at 10 am - the time the store opened and I was 5th in line to drop off my deer. By the time I left there were 20 trucks lined up to drop their harvest off. It was awesome. Fast and efficient drop off, too. Dropped the deer off on Sunday and the meat was ready on Thursday!! Even a deer hunter in a Camry was dropping off! See the photo's. Will definitely be back. $30 to skin; $90 for standard package of burger, steaks, and roasts.

Extra clean facility with large fresh selections of regular or smoked pork chops. Smoked pork loins, smoked bacon... all are extra tasty and priced economically to allow you to fill your freezer to the max. Not every visit has the filets, but they are delicious and the minute steaks are perfect sandwich sized steaks, we have never gotten a chewy one. Always satisfied with pork roasts, beef roasts and tasty sausage. Great staff. Deli case with lots of options, pre-packaged Amish cheese slices and packaged gravies, steak sauce near check out.Worth the drive. Cute place near the shop, it is an excellent place to grab a sandwich before heading back home with a delicious assortment of meats.Your going to love this butcher shop, they take credit cards.

We buy most of our meat here. Prices and quality are great. The sausage and bacon is kind of bland. We go the Merkley's for that .

I ordered a half pig in May 1st and it was ready May 20th. Wow was I excited. Paid for it over the phone and my son picked it up. Only thing I was disappointed at was I asked for the chops to be packaged in 2's and I got 4 per package. I understand they are busy with the pandemic going on. I believe I got somebody else's half pig. Because they gave me pig trimmings and I didn't ask for them. And someone else's name was on that bag. So next time I will go myself and double check the order. And yes I did give my son all the info to check. But we know 20 something guys. But I am happy with everything else. Kudos to all the workers for such a speedy turnaround time. Will use them again.

On August 25, 2017, I picked up a hind quarter of beef that I had processed at Sander Processing, Celestine, IN. I ordered NY Strips, Roasts and Hamburger, but what I receive was T-Bones, Round steak, and hamburger (round steak! really?). My first thought: Was I given someone else's meat?I called Sander Processing and informed them of the mistake. I was told the brother who took my order would not be available for a few days and for me to call back, and at that time they would "make-it-right".After contacting Sander's the second time, I was asked to bring the meat back to Sander's and they would thaw the meat, grind the round steaks in to hamburger, cut the bone off the T-bones, and then after processing the meat the second time, they would finish with re-freezing the meat. So, "Making-It-Right" entails removing the vacuum-sealed packaging, thawing the pre-processed meat, processing the meat a second time, and re-freezing the re-processed meat.Re-freezing meat not only affects the quality due to the moisture lost through thawing, but it also adds risks for contamination. So much for customer expectations. But even with the discouraging incident above, I must admit Sander has the best spicy sausage I've ever tasted.
