While out and about today I found myself wanting to go for a walk. Being a ways from my usual walking spots, I searched Yelp to find a nearby park. Robsion Park was close by ,so hubby and I found our way there. The park is directly behind the Lyndon post office and parking can be accessed using the driveway beside the post office. Posted hours for the park stated "Dawn to dusk."I was surprised by how well-maintained the park is and how much larger it was than it appeared at first glance. There is ample paved, private parking. At the entrance to the park are two large play areas for children. One appears to be for the younger set and the other for older children. There is a half-mile paved, level walking trail around the perimeter of the park with a short paved bisecting walk if one doesn't wish to go all the way around. All of the walking path has trees lined on either side for shade. There are multiple large, grassed areas for volleyball, badminton, hacky sack, soccer or anything else one could desire. There are covered picnic areas and restrooms. The restrooms were open for use, but I didn't go in them. There were panic/help buttons throughout the park for use in emergency situations. This park is perfect for dog walking and also is a perfect park for those who may require level, paved paths. I look forward to returning with my dogs!

Although Lyndon is small and Robsion Park tucks itself behind a few buildings, it is NOT one to miss!! This park was surprisingly a lot bigger than what I had imagined it to be. There is a very nice walking trail that splits into different directions and can keep you busy for quite a while. I was please to see how neat and clean Robsion was, and it definitely looked like it got its proper maintenance every now and then. There's also a couple nice playgrounds for kids, along with an awesome-looking splash pad to cool off in!

Finding Robsion Park was a delight. A nice, quiet park about a mile from home is what we need for Sheltie walking. When you enter the park there are a couple sets of playground equipment for the kids (or the not-quite-grownup-adults) to play on, and the parking area is very convenient. The park is well-treed ... well-tree-ed ... well-tree'd ...has a lot of trees and paved paths that surround and crisscross the park.Although the park is surrounded by a post office, an apartment complex, a few small businesses and some residences, you hear very little of the city/street noise when you're in the park. It's also much larger than it looks when you first enter. On any given day you'll see families having a picnic, kids on a playset, dog walkers walking dogs, readers reading, couples coupling (not like that), frisbees frisbeeing, and recreationers recreationing. The park is kept very clean and the lawn well-maintained. I'm told that they set fireworks off in this part on the 4th of July, but we haven't been here long enough to confirm or enjoy that.Robsion Park is a great and unexpected find. Louisville is always surprising me.

This park is located behind the Lyndon Post Office and Lyndon Christian church. You could easily drive right by without knowing its there. It has a BIG playground area...there's a playground for the bigger kids including an area where they can do some acrobatic-type play, a "regular" playground for all sizes, a swing set, and a spray (water works playground) ground for little ones. Lots of opportunities for kids to make friends as its nearly always busy during those warmer months. With it being so big and the playground itself having so many different fun activities, its a great place to run off some energy and get creative. There are nice restrooms as well and a nice sized walking/jogging path. Its great for dog walking! A small pavilion is located near the center of the park as well. Great park!

This is a nice, little neighborhood park, perfect for picnics or just letting the kids blow off steam. The playground area is expansive and has options for all ages. There is a paved walking trail that winds you through the whole park. There is also at least one pavilion where you could host an event. As far as comfort facilities go, there are two portable toilets and a water fountain. I believe they've installed a permanent structure with restrooms, but I am not certain. I didn't check that the last time I was there.
