River Cantina Mexican Restaurant

Excellent service, big portions of tasty food with ice cold Corona! What else could you ask for in a small town with limited choices? ‍The menu is expansive, we both tried something new and both were very good. The place was packed on a Thursday, so I'm assuming it must be a local favorite. Everything seemed very clean and well kept, including the women's bathroom.

After being ignored at another Mexican restaurant in town, we weren't expecting much from this place..but we were wrong!..first of all,it's clean,the service was fast and friendly..drink specials were awesome, a little too strong for my taste, but you can't complain about that...food was decent,as good or better than most Mexican restaurants in eastern ky..all in all..id recommend this place I'd you are in the red river gorge area and want to avoid the crowds at Miguel's..definitely a jewel in a area of rocks (like natural bridge,get it?..haha)

Has great food and even sometimes has horchata which Me and my husband have not been able to get from a authentic Mexican restaurant since we lived in TX! Has the best service and is expanding! The paintings on the walls are done by hand and look beautiful! Can't say enough nice things about this place.

While the atmosphere wasn't 5 stars, the staff and food were. Staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the chips and salsa so much they brought us refills. I like variety but usually am disappointed by the combo options. However, their specials section has lots of great combos! We were trying not to eat too much as we were going climbing after but the portions of food that came out were big! Everything tasted wonderful.

The food was so good and at a great price! The drinks are yummy and cheap as well. Authentic Mexican cuisine. The service was awkward though.

LOVE the River Cantina! Service is always prompt, food is great and reasonably priced too. Street tacos here are some of my favorite and I've spent significant time in places known for Mexican food. Go check these folks out!
