Ritzy's

We ate here for lunch while we were in the area. I got the number 3 burger and fries and it was pretty good. Small Pattie's and small fries. The ice cream was really tasty and by far the best thing we ate. The burger and fries need a little help but the ice cream is on point

Surprisingly satisfied by Ritzy's on Hwy 54. Totally missed an opportunity to take a photo of the meal since it was very good. I ordered a single cheeseburger fully dressed, small tea and one scoop of Swiss Almond Chocolate ice cream. I wish the meat was seasoned more but still not bad. I plan to order fries next time. The ice cream was nearly gone by the stile I received my burger. It was so creamy and delicious. The cool treat hit the spot on a hot fall day. Not bad Ritzy's.

Chili was the worst I have ever had. The portion was tiny. It was watery, and lacked flavor. The spaghetti was limp and soggy and cut into little pieces. Very little cheese or onion. This is a pathetic attempt to copy SkylineChili. They need to go to a real Skyline shop and see how to do it. I should of known this would be a bust when I saw they use Red GoldKetchup. Its the bargain basement brand.

This is close to my house and I eat here often, but it goes in spurts. Usually ending with something poor leading to staying away for a while. Decent hamburgers. Very good ice cream. Usually good, friendly service. This past bad experience was finding a short curly object in my chili. I took to the owner. He stated it was a piece of scouring pad. He was probably correct, but he took the last half of my chili, threw it away, apologized, and walked away. Didn't offer me anything to make up for throwing away part of my lunch.

Ritzy's has been an Owensboro fast food staple for many years. There are two locations, this being the newer of the two. If you feel like having a burger, fries, and ice cream- this is your place. It will trump any Wendy's or McDonald's. The milkshakes here are known for being the best in town- even though they are slightly pricey compared to some competition. My family has always gotten the Itzy Ritzy meal which includes a free scoop of ice cream. Can't beat it. Definitely recommend trying it out when you're feeling that casual diner-y vibe.

I hadn't been to a ritzy' in over 19 years. It wasn't cause of anything bad or anything like that more like convenience. Wow how I have missed this place and didn't realize it. The chilli was just as good as it was 19 years ago. The burgers just as amazing. But still not a fan of shoestring fries lol. We will be back it was great for a fast food place and the prices weren't bad either. Fed 4 ppl for under $35.00 just to give you an idea.

The burgers here could be compared to Culvers, similar in flavor and preparation. The inside is not "Ritzy" and could use a little more cleaning during peak hours. This is my favorite fast food, ever. I can't get enough of the shoestring fries, and the thin patty on the burger is perfect. Don't skip the ice cream. I buy the candy cane ice cream by the pint when it comes around during Christmas time!
