This is THE place for pizza in the Tri-State area. Their stuffed pizza is true to the Chicago standard. I love it just as much as when I visit Giordano's in other cities. The thin crust is great too! Everytime I come home to visit family, this is my first stop.

Take note up front - if you're looking for a drive thru "hot and ready" pizza, Rick's may not be for you. If you're looking for quality pizza that you can share with your friends, a pizza that can be the centerpiece of your evening, then read on.Rick's is going to take a little longer to get, and you're going to pay a little more, but the pizza you get is well worth both. I called on a Friday night, right at supper time. I was expecting a wait, so I called before the family got hungry. I ordered the all meat pizza, which had been recommended to me. Upon placing the order, I was told it would be about an hour and ten minutes (again, I expected it due to the time of my order being during the supper peak). We took some time doing things with the kids, ran a couple of errands, and then headed to pick up. Now, Rick's is located on the corner of one of our busiest local streets - Green Street, and the parking area is very small (one car, parked diagonally). Accessibility is best by hitting MLK on the east side of Green Street and heading west, parking along MLK. Very quick and easy in and out. The pizzeria itself is physically small, so if someone is at the counter picking up, don't crowd the door. Just hang on, because service is super fast and you won't be left standing around. I picked up my pizza from a very friendly and interactive staff. The large pizza and an order of pepperoncinis came to 23 bucks and change. When I picked up my pizza to leave, I was shocked at the weight. This was going to be a substantial task to take this thing down.We weren't disappointed in our anticipation. The pizza was cooked perfectly, with a nice ring of thin, brown crust flaking round the outside edge. Fresh mozzarella and huge meatballs made the pizza a visual feast. Under the cheese, the bacon and pepperoni waited in just the right amount of sauce. I've never had a pizza with more meat on it than this one. Admittedly, my knock on pizza is always the cheese. Not so with this Rick's pizza. Just the right amount of natural tasting cheese. Not a hint of processing on any ingredient on this pie. And the usual grease problem that plagues a meat pizza was not an issue due to the careful preparation and handling that the toppings get prior to going on your pizza. It was as delicious as it was filling. When I got full, I was actually sorry that I had to stop eating it. The next day for lunch, popped the last remaining pieces into a non-stick skillet, and we knocked out the rest.Rick's pizza will definitely be our first choice for pizza from here on. Next time, we intend to get a different offering (have to try them all to decide which our favorite is), and maybe add a stromboli. As I said up front - if you just want to "grab a pizza", you have other options. But if you're looking for a classic pizza experience right here at home - there's only one place to go!

I'm telling you, I've lived in this town my whole life and still to this day I can't find any place that makes a better Stromboli.

I grew up eating Rick's pizza. The restaurant has changed hands several times over the years, and it hasn't always been for the best. The current owners have back to where I remember it growing up. Rick Liggett would be proud!I love the Una style pizza, but their deep dish Chicago style pizza is also great.Take out only, no tables, very small waiting area, great pizza, and great service.

Ordered from here a few weeks back, the stuffed pizza is definitely the star of the show. It's unlike anything in the tri-state area and well worth the 45 minute to 1 hour wait. The una pizza leaves a bit to be desired in my opinion. The crust has a very strong flour taste and didn't have the crunch una pizza has been known to have. The breadsticks are a don't miss item. The cheese sauce that comes with an order is delicious, it has a really nice jalapeno bite without being overpowering. The owners were very engaging in conversation and you could tell genuinely cared about the quality of their product.

This is my favorite Chicago Style Stuffed Pizza that I can get outside Chicago! (I worked for the original owners for several years when they had sit down restaurant as well as this"little shop" location. I never got tired of it!) oI believe that you'll love it as much as I love it so give it a try won't you?

I just love the pizza at Ricks. The sauce, the Stromboli, and deep dish pizza's are my favorites. I truly do love all the cheesy goodness in the deep dish. I just wish we had something like this in Oklahoma.
