Ricardo's Grill and Pub

To be honest, I wanted to like this restaurant more than I actually did. I went in thinking I'd get great food, and I was underwhelmed.On the plus side, I really like the atmosphere. They went with the train depot theme and I think that was a hit. Additionally, the service here was great. Our server was super attentive and she earned an excellent tip.But why do you go to a restaurant? You're looking for incredible food. The kind you can't make at home. I think on this one Ricardo's was a miss. Let me break it down...Catfish platter (fried) ~ really good, not great. Of all the meals, this one would be the one I'd recommend. The cole slaw that came with it -- unfortunately tasteless.Catfish platter (blackened) ~ limited seasoning led to lack of flavor. I can do better at home. You don't want to say that.Broccoli casserole ~ served to us room temperature. You've got to do better than that. Sirloin ~ good, but again, nothing spectacular. Could do better at the house.New Orleans pasta ~ not that great the day we got it. Took leftovers home and it was much better the next day after it had time to pull in all the spices. Granny Smith Apple salad ~ way overpriced for what you get here. Shockingly so for what you get.In the end, I'd like to say I'd be back. But the restaurant business is extremely competitive. You have to hook the customer the first time. They didn't do that. And I can name you ten restaurants right now within 20 miles that have incredible cuisine. I'm just doubtful I'll chance this one again.

Ricardo's is a great place to stop for a quick, affordable lunch while on the bourbon trail or just in general.Excellent burger, turkey club, and chicken tenders. Crunchy and pillowy crinkle fries just the way you like them. Cheap cocktails and draft beers. Friendly service. And finally, a great outdoor covered deck when its not to hot out.

Today we visited Ricardo's at 11:30. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our hostess was attentive and noticed we had a toddler with us. She thought ahead and brought us a booster and a kids menu. We were seated on the patio which was nicely covered with fans as well! Our waitress was thoughtful and while taking our drink order asked if we wanted our son's food to be put in first. Service was amazing. The food was ordered quickly and came out hot and fresh. Throughout our meal we had many check-in's from all our server. We will be coming back again soon!

Absolutely delicious food! Great service and such a cool vibe! The restaurant looks like an old train depot. Fun vibe with sports bar with several TVs playing all the games. The bar area has high top and bar seating and a dining area. Love the relaxed vibe. Several beers on tap and cocktails specials and of course lots of bourbon to choose from. Our server at the bar Was super. Quick and she got it all correct but never wrote anything down. Our meal was only $68. We thought that was an incredible deal for the environment and the food was delicious! My husband had the steak with green beans and baked sweet potato and he said it was cooked perfectly. I had the salmon with broccoli and baked sweet potato and it was perfect. Came out very hot and fresh. We both ordered the granny smith salad and loved it with fresh cold greens , blue cheese, pecans, craisins, granny smith apples, mandarin oranges and their homemade champagne honey vinaigrette dressing. We didn't order any adult beverages but the bartenders were busy making drinks. We will definitely come back!

Been here three times within the last year and finally doing a review. Love the outdoor patio here and the inside bar area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Never had to wait long on getting our food. The first two times I've been the food was spot on. However, this time the food was just okay. Nothing great but will definitely come back and give them another shout. Fish was very flaky and wasn't fried crispy crust that you want. Grilled buffalo sandwich was another miss today. Not holding this experience against them. Will be back

Service was good, food was okay and cocktails were disappointing. The interior was large and inviting and they have parking.

Great dinner. After a ride on the rails 4 of us had dinner at Ricardo's and it did not disappoint. It was 6.45 on a friday night but we were seated immediately and our waiter took our order as soon as we were ready after pursuing the menu. We opted to split two dinners. Dinner # one--2 four oz filet medallions with cole claw and baked potato. The meat was cooked to perfection, medium rare, slaw was creamy and baked potato was loaded, with butter, sour cream, chives, cheese and bacon and puping hot. Dinner # 2--1/2 rack of ribs and chicken tenders with ranch and bbq sauce for dipping served with hot and crispy french fries and green beans. Between the 4 of us we ate every bite. We all enjoyed the ribs, the cole slaw, fries and baked potato, green beans and tenders. And 3 of us enjoyed the steak. It was too rare for one of our party. For dessert we had the banana pudding and the bread pudding. We could not come to a consensus on which was better. Both excellent. Service was great, hostess pleasant, and a cool, laid back atmosphere. The place is huge with dinning areas outside of the bar area. They have outdoor dining as well and plenty of parking, located in downtown Versailles.

Really nice place for lunch. My friends wanted to sit on the patio and I haaaate sitting on the patio. The weather was lovely but the traffic noise is so distracting for me. Our server was very pleasant and took good care of us. I had the club sandwich and some French fries. The server didn't write anything down but the order came out perfectly. And was put together really well. My iced tea was filled almost as frequently as I needed. (Another reason I don't like patios-no line of sight to myEmpty glass!) haha!! The tea was good though and tasted like tea! I would definitely recommend this place! The bathroom was C.L.E.A.N! Love it.

I've had takeout from here several times and they usually are top notch with their service. The food is really good and flavorful and the portions are hefty. You could probably get away with splitting a meal if you weren't really hungry. I've had the quesadilla, club, chicken fingers, and chef salad, all which are incredible. I can't really say anything about the ambiance cause I always order to go.

We are back for our second visit in a month. You are making a big mistake if you don't order the onion straws. It is an enormous serving for less than $9. Everyone at the table will love them! This time I tried the Shrimp and Grits and it was good. I want to try the Philly Cheesesteak (beef, not chicken) the next time that I come.
