This spot nails Japanese comfort food so well, I couldn't even wait for a foodie pic before diving into my Karaage Chicken Rice Bowl. The chicken was crispy perfection on the outside, juicy on the inside, with just the right touch of umami. The rice was fluffy and perfectly balanced with a hint of vinegar. Add in crispy pickled veggies and a tangy, slightly sweet aioli, and every bite felt like a comforting, well-rounded meal. My friend's specialty ramen was smoky, bold, and kicked up a notch with fresh peppers--simple and satisfying. Slurped it to the last drop. Not a crumb was left behind. The service was friendly and efficient, adding to the laid-back charm. The vibe hits all the right notes for a quick, casual meal. Traditional Japanese decor mixes with retro memorabilia, and the slightly open kitchen keeps things lively. Major bonus points for old-school anime playing on the TV and the nostalgic Kool-Aid Jammers.

Finally got to return post fire! They are putting this spot back together rather nicely. Food was good as always, although my dragon bowl z was a lot spicier than i remembered. So be prepared for spice! Tried a different ramen and can confirm, you can't go wrong here. Can't wait to return when the weather cools down!

A gem of Lousiville, one of the few spots in the city for great ramen. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. There were many areas to sit and each place had water + utensils ready for you. A cycle of anime shows play on the tv while music quietly jams in the background. The food is yummy and the workers were nice, helpful, and made sure we were comfortable. I was saddened to hear of the fire and wish the best for everyone it affected Will support in any way I can. Love Renshoku!

Impressed by their homage to a traditional setting and fusion of food. Located near UofL this is an ideal location for the area. Not too far off the freeway. We arrived just in time to beat the crowd.Thank you for our military discount.Hubby enjoyed the broth from my Chicken Shio over his Bourbon Shoyu. He opted not to spice his up and go with the set flavor. But he also gave me his spoon that had some chili flavor in it that likely would have made the difference for him. Competitve pricing and everyone on staff we met was friendly.Looking forward to seeing an expanded menu on another visit.Bummed they didn't have the Ube Melon Pan, hopefully they'll have it next time.Would love to see an expansion of desserts. Maybe an omurice on the menu? The Okonomiyaki Tots were perfect. Will try the onigiri when we visit again.

Renshoku Ramen was such an enjoyable experience. I have been on a quest for good ramen in Louisville that has left me largely disappointed, but Renshoku Ramen put a smile on my face. I ordered the bourbon shoyu ramen and the Japanese fried chicken. The food was good. The ramen was probably the best I've tried in Louisville so far. It doesn't compare to the good ramen I've had in places like NY and LA, but for Louisville it was good. I do enjoy more thicker soup bases so I would like to see how they handle a tonkotsu broth, maybe in the future. The Japanese fried chicken was great. There was nothing particularly special about it, but it was a lot of good fried chicken for a low price. The dipping sauce it came with also tasted very good.Better than the food is the environment. This is the only place where I took pictures of the inside because it was that nice. It reminds me of real ramen places and has such a nice atmosphere with the sunlight coming through. They've got water and condiments at the tables for self-service and the workers are all very nice. I asked for more dipping sauce, not knowing that it costed extra, but they were nice enough to give me one anyways. As can be seen from the pictures, this isn't the place to go with large groups, but an excellent choice by yourself or with a small group of friends.Renshoku Ramen was a very enjoyable experience and I hope to frequent it. The food is good, the environment stellar, and I'm hoping the menu might expand as well!

Had to try this place out since hearing it opened. We don't have a lot of ramen places in town. And for me, Ramen House is one of the best options though it has a Korean twist. We had ordered online and came to pick up. Not busy at all. One person waiting for food and two others dining in. It was close to 6pm on a Thursday. It looks like you order at the counter, they give you a number, then you sit down. Cafeteria style. There's a good amount of seating inside.Anyway, we ordered Tonkotsu which is only available on Thursdays, chicken shio, and the bourbon shoyu. The broth was just okay. A bit light and not rich, like I'm used to. Could've been more flavorful but I know that making ramen broth is difficult so I commend them for making their own version. The toppings were kinda skimpy. Not much in it. And the marinated egg was salty. Sad!The meat was okay. Not as tender and melt in your mouth as I'm used to.The prices aren't bad. I'm used to paying more for ramen. The portion size is good. I couldn't finish my ramen but it was likely because I snacked heavily right before eating. They also had melon pan, so we tried the ube one. Not bad! It tasted like pandesal but with a nice sugary ube touch.Parking is parallel but we found a spot on the side of the building.

In my opinion, this place wins best ramen place and best vibes for a ramen place in Louisville. I have been around a lot of places, and the flavor of their food here is high quality, especially for the price. For good quality ramen, this is extremely affordable. The staff was very kind when we asked about the dishes and preparation. Everything got to us very quickly, and they had a fun show to watch while you ate. 10/10 experience, will be returning!
