I love this place. We travel here for their cherries, peaches, corn, and apples. We recently picked up corn and peaches. It's easy to find, with lots of parking and even restrooms available. The produce is always so fresh. The staff is also friendly and helpful.

Reids Orchard is a nice place located in Owensboro that my family went to yesterday afternoon. The girls really enjoyed picking pumpkins riding on the hey rides and participate in all the fun activities. They have many fun things for your families to do such as playing in a corn pit and going on hayrides picking apples and digging for gold all kinds of fun things. My family really enjoyed and we will be back

We were there around 1330 today. We wanted to pick some June apples for my mother. She only likes them when they're green. She doesn't like them when they start to ripen. That's why we wanted them off the tree. There were lots of apples in the store...probably picked off the ground from last night's storm. They were too ripe. I told the lady cashier we wanted to pick them off the trees, and she said NO. I explained the above info to her, and she said we aren't letting anyone pick the June apples....NO...you can't. We grew up in Owensboro and have always loved going to Reid's. We shop there often in the summer(even though we live in Beaver Dam now). We always buy from the store...never pick our own. This time we had a special reason to pick. I was so disappointed with the cashier's decision and her rude dismissive attitude.

During the week, they have nothing going on. only the shop was open, nothing baked fresh, it was chilly out, no hot apple cider. Spent over $50, but cashier was not the most personable and was not able to answer questions about the product. Maybe during the weekends it's a different vibe

When I roll down the paved drive to Reid's Orchard, hundreds of memories flow through my mind. I have been coming here as a child to pick apples with my preschool class, or pick strawberries with my Gramps to make homemade jam. There is an Apple Festival every fall and it's a great time to come out and see what the orchard has to offer: hay rides, corn maze, animals, food, treats, produce; the list goes on...If you're in Owensboro, head out to Reid's!

Reid's orchard is a not only a family tradition but an Owensboro tradition. If you're from Owensboro, chances are you've been out to Reid's. Every fall my family & I go to the apple festival. It's usually the second weekend in October. The festival has tons of food, crafts, & rides. It's a neat place to eat lunch & people watch. Last weekend I met my family there, along with my 2 year old nephew & planned to pick some strawberries. Anyone who's been around a two year old knows they aren't the easiest crowd to please. We arrived & noticed a huge play area with slides, toys & animals. For $12 my nephew was able to ride a horse, yes a horse, or as Eli calls it, "the big one." They also have a pony for little ones to ride as well. A petting zoo type deal with goats, sheep, donkeys & llamas to feed. He was able to decorate a cookie, pan for "gold" & even ride a train. It took him about an hour-ish to do it all & he loved it. We had pork burgers for lunch & by that time it was time for his nap. We were able to pick some strawberries, $1.95 a pound. The orchard is family run & everyone is always so helpful & nice. They even do weddings! Check them out if you're in town.

Reid's is a staple in Owensboro. There's a chance you've been there since the Apple Festival is held there each year. When I was on the Daviess County cross country team we would have weekly runs at Yellow Creek Park and we would always run over to Reid's and get a apple slush or a cherry apple slush. I am a slushy lover and this is hands-down my favorite slushy ever, specifically the cherry apple. I was recently in town and came here because I was craving some good apple cider. To my luck Reid's offered half-gallon containers of their homemade cider and I was not disappointed. Reid's is on a good size plot of land and it's cool to see the orchard and everything else they have to offer.

This place was great! From the vegetables and fruit they had, to the cute animals we could stand around and watch. We went back during strawberry season and grabbed a few for the road, their chocolate covered strawberries were out of this world.
