We were greeted and seated quickly. Drinks and salads arrived quickly. Will skip the salad in the future- no house made dressings, hard croutons and grape/cherry tomatoes. Pork chop was the best I've ever had! Steak was good too!

Went in based on yelp reviews, and I have to say they were all right! Small unassuming place in the heart of old downtown Seymour. It was packed and I felt bad taking upA table for only me, but. Only two waitresses who were extremely busy, but I did get my dinner quickly. Small salad was nothing overly impressive but the main star was the mouthwatering steak! Wow it was excellent, and the baked potato was HUGE. I am going back when I am in town again!

Excellent service! Thank you April helped us order and her mom's pies are FANTASTIC. They don't skimp on the butter so if you don't wanna OD on it gotta say something. We loved it.

Reeds Place Steak & Chop-shop is conveniently located in downtown Seymour, Indiana. We recently stopped by for the first time on a Saturday evening and had a short wait due to it being pretty crowded. There isn't an abundance of tables, and you can't make reservations unless you have a large party or will order the Tomahawk Ribeye, so keep that in mind before visiting. Our service was good - our server was friendly and personable. The food was good as well - flavorful and fresh. I really enjoyed the ambiance and small town feel that Reeds Place offers, and would visit again!

I went ahead and gave this place four stars but I was thinking, maybe only three I'm kind of in between. I'm pretty cheap and don't normally spend $30 per person and I don't really feel like I got $30 worth of enjoyment. Most of the food was good but not great. They serve Coke products, which always makes me happy, but it was a little off not really their fault or anything. Just whatever syrup mix they got wasn't very good from the factory. They were out of steak tips, which from other reviews I've seen they do run out of things frequently. We got the fried mushrooms as an appetizer and they were hot and pretty decent although if only there had been some marinade or other flavor to them, it would've been so much better. The ranch dip they provided was very good. The salad was fresh and decent. If not a little bit boring. It was just a greens with a couple tomatoes and no carrots, no cucumbers you know not much else but the dressing was good. She had blue cheese on this. The toast with the meal was OK but could've been better. It was a French bread but it really could've used some butter or garlic or something on it to liven it up. The mac & cheese I got was OK better than blue box for sure but the little breadcrumbs they threw on top didn't add anything if anything they made it kind of weird tasting and it just wasn't worth the up charge. It's either a dollar extra on a regular meal or two dollars extra if you get it with a burger. It was a white cheese sauce. The pasta did have decent texture. I would've liked to spoon to eat the mac & cheese our silverware only had a knife and fork. Her asparagus tasted fine, but as another reviewer has set on here it was quite skimpy, and other four little twigs were not much to eat. They were very thin. We both got the porterhouse cause it was two dollars off on special. As another reviewer stated, I also found that the steaks are very thinly cut. I was sad at the lack of char on my state. I like at least a little bit of black char in there and some grill marks it was done properly though and still moist and the fillet side was pretty good but on the other side of the bone, there was lots of fat and gristle, and the fat did not render much. They didn't cook it very hot evidently or they just grilled it quickly and I just I'd like a better seer, I ended up having to cut third of the steak up to take home to the cats. The steak also seem to have just a little too much salt and pepper. It was quite heavy on the top The service was prompt and friendly. At first I was going to deduct points, because the initial receipt was not itemized but after I paid, the terminal did print out an itemized cause I just like to see what I'm paying for that basically save the fourth star I was going to deduct one disturbingly though I don't like the location of the bathroom you have to walk all the way through the kitchen to get to the toilet and I don't think that's very sanitary having everybody walking through there not to mention I wouldn't wanna be back there cooking and some smell it if somebody was getting sick.

This is my third visit when I've been in town. 1st time I thought it was okay. 2nd time I thought it was great. My 3rd time was tonight, Saturday around 7:30pm. Had to order 3 different times-- out of sirloin, steak tips, grilled chicken, ground ribeye burgers. Finally ordered the ribeye, came out lukewarm with no baked potatoes because, you guessed it, they were out. So got the French fries came out lukewarm. Waitstaff was very apologetic, explained they were closed Sunday and Monday so supply is limited. I would suggest going earlier in the day or a different day. We did get a discount for all the trouble. Sadly I won't be returning.

Went for lunch. Ordered the cheese burger, fries and the root beer float! I ordered medium rare, got rare, pretty good meat quality. The tomato was a bit green and sliced a bit thin. Lettuce was a limp leaf variety with no crunch. Bun was just awful, maybe bunny but seems like a low quality product. The fries were near perfect! Hot crispy and delicious! The RB Float was to die for! Probably due to the amount of root beer they buy to marinate their beef. The service is great with skilled staff. The ambience is nice and clean and the bar upstairs is pretty great! This place just needs some minor "tune up" to be a gem! The price point for this lunch is a bargain.

A real gem and local favorite, did not disappoint. Porterhouse was perfectly prepared with some garlic butter on top and home made butter pecan was as fresh as mom just made it (because she did). Jen was a super accommodating server. Highly recommended.

I have been there before and everything was top-notch. After work today, I took my mom and sister and have done nothing but brag about the place. My sister and I got ribeyes that were undercooked of what we ordered and very fatty. We both ate maybe a couple bites and took the rest home. If this would've been the first time I would've been to this place, It would DEFINITELY be the last.If I return, hopefully next time is better.
