Red Fox Grill

Pass this place a lot but never been until opening day morning we decided to stop and eat before heading to the parade. The service was 1000% top notch we were with our 12 month old daughter and they treated her like an absolute princess. The food was simple yet great, this will forever be on our list of hidden gems and we will continue to visit whenever downtown. Forewarning they are cash only, but an atm about a block away if needed. The place offered a cozy diner feel and the real winner is the excellent staff that treat you like you're at home!

We ordered ahead on a Thursday at lunchtime. The place wasn't super busy and we were helped quickly. Interior is super dated but it's a nostalgic kind of feeling. Food was great but they only took cash.

If you like friendly service, DELICIOUS double decker club sandwiches (huge variety) like they made in the good ole days- you will love this place. They don't make places like this anymore. It's not the boring shabby chic froo froo industrial hipster vibe - it's authentic and real. That's why it's been here so long. You should try it!

Whenever we are in the Cincinnati area, we always go down to red Fox. The staff there is so friendly and my grandparents used to go there when it first opened so they already know what we all want. 100% must try if in the Cincinnati area.

The service was speedy. My sandwich tasted great! The bacon was crisp and the tomato was fresh. The pickles were an upcharge but weren't great. They were standard pickle slices and not crunchy. I chose the rye bread which was a nice change. It was a nice. full and tasty double decker. They also serve double decker hamburgers which looked good.

Unfortunately I did not get a picture of our massive sandwiches! I got the Club (double decker) and it was amazing! They do shaved deli meat which is the best in my opinion. Fries were hot, service was fast and great, and it was a great price. Will definitely be returning. Additionally it was nice to see business men in suits sitting next to construction workers- gives that old city feel which is cool.

I woke up this morning craving a breakfast sandwich. Not just any sandwich would do. Not feeling the normal MCD egg McMuffin. I wanted something homemade. Stopped by the Red Fox Downtown. Picked up a scrambled egg sandwich with cheese and tomato.I have to say it was absolutely delicious! Hot and fresh, I could probably have put down two or three.I'll save that for next time.Fast and friendly service, I was in/out in less than 5 minutes.

This was a little diner style restaurant in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. It's open for breakfast and lunch but not for dinner. They committed my cardinal sin of not having everything listed on their menu as they didn't have their bbq sandwich that I wanted to try. The service was okayish and they only take cash so keep that in mind. Anyway here's the food review....Grilled Bacon And Cheese Sandwich And FriesWhat Is It: Exactly what it says. Nothing more nothing less.Presentation: Pretty basic plating as it's hard to have a fancy presentation with a sandwich and fries. Good enough. 6 out of 10Taste/ Final Analysis: This was a good take on the classic grilled cheese. They put tons of bacon on here which is good. It was cooked right and had decent flavour. They used mostly swiss cheese and I think they may have had some American on there too although I'm not sure about the latter. The fries were pretty stock and one's you could get anywhere. It was a good sandwich and not a terrible restaurant although it doesn't have anything that jumps off the page at me. Family Run business delivers tasty diner food with consistently good quality. I like the BLT, or 2-3-4 burger.

Today I was down town for an eye appointment. I came here for lunch.The food and service were excellent . I used to work a block away I would often eat here . They had a frozen yogurt to go that was the best I've ever eaten.I worked near here for twenty six years. I worked in Springdale for fifteen years and have been retired for twelve . Today when I walked in the owner recognized me by name . I was very impressed and will return soon . It's a good restaurant with honest hard working people. The ambience is unchanged it was like coming home again . In an era where everything is changing and prices have gone through the roof . This establishment is good service good food at a good price . With history.
